Dr. Randy Smith has been a Pediatric Dentist in Idaho Falls since 1997 and opened Alligator Pediatric Dentistry in 2000. Prior to returning home to SE Idaho he completed his Pediatric Dental Residency at Primary Childrens Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1997. He received his DDS from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1995. He attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and in 1991 received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology. In 1988, Dr. Smith obtained his Associates Degree in Arts and Sciences from Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho.
Dr. Smith grew up in Rexburg, Idaho and enjoys living in Idaho Falls, Idaho with his amazing family: Lindsey (and her husband Sam), Jacqueline, Mitchell, and Brooklyn. They enjoy spending time together boating, waterskiing, snow skiing, riding motorcycles and spending time in the outdoors!

Dr. Mark Marlowe is an Idaho Falls native who came home to do what he loves work with children. Prior to joining Alligator Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Marlowe completed a two year Pediatric Dental Residency at Miami Childrens Hospital in Miami, Florida in 2009. In 2005, he earned his DDS from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia. Upon completion, Dr Marlowe returned to Pocatello where he completed an additional year of training at the Idaho Advanced General Dentistry Residency at Idaho State University. Dr Marlowe is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is affiliated with the American Dental Association, as well as the Upper Snake River Valley Dental Society.
Dr Marlowe grew up in a large family where he first practiced the skill of working with children and adolescents. After completing high school, he attended Idaho State University where he received a degree in biology, while competing on the mens tennis team for four years. Dr. Marlowe married Michelle Kunz from St. Anthony, Idaho in 1996. They are the grateful parents of six children who keep them very busy and active. The Marlowes love sports, history, and the great outdoors. They have enjoyed being back in southeast Idaho among family and friends. Because the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children receive their first visit by one year of age, our little patients will almost always need the assistance of a parent or guardian. When your child will come at the appropriate age, we will start performing early orthodontic evaluations at every visit. In the nature of preventive care, we prefer to stay ahead of the needs curve. Took my kids to this office for 15 years. I became a single working mom and had a change in insurance. They would only see my kids on a certain day of the week because of the type of insurance they have. They would NOT work with me! DISCRIMINATION!!!!!!! I promptly found a new dentist for my kids that doesn't discriminate!

Dr Smith and staff were so good with our 4 year old girl. Made her feel comfortable, after she had had many recent fillings and was scared of going to the dentist anymore. We look forward to continuing to work with Alligator as we get her dental work done, thanks again. - update 6 months later - followup cleaning went great, they made her feel very comfortable. she's not as scared now

My first experience here was fantastic. Everyone from the people at the front desk to Dr. Smith was extremely patient and kind to my 10 year old daughter with special needs that is TERRIFIED of the dentist. They were wonderful. I had heard rave reviews of Alligator Dental before my visit. After my experience I can say this place definitely lived up to the hype. I feel like my daughter is in excellent hands.

Took my 3 and 6 year old here for their first dental experience and it could not have gone any better! Dr Smith was so patient and played a little super hero game with my 3 year old. He talked me through each step of the dental process, let me ask a million questions, and welcomed my crazy boys. The hygienists were equally as patient and did such a great job talking my kids through the cleaning. There wasn't a single member of the staff that wasn't kind and welcoming. The facility was so cute and nice. Very clean and fun for the kids. We will absolutely be going back and recommending alligator pediatric dentistry to anyone with little kids!

We love the entire staff! I have been taking my 5 kids to Dr. Smith for 20 years, and never had a bad experience. They truly care about the kids and there lives and interests outside of the dentist office. My daughter has had sedation with them 3 times and they take such good care of her.

All the staff are very welcoming, kind and professional. Dr Smith has superb methods for helping his young clients feel good about going to the dentist and always does a great job. He treated my now 23 year old grand daughter as she grew up and she will not take her daughter anywhere else.

We love Alligator Dental! My son has always had sensitive teeth and his experience at the dentist hasn't always been the best. The staff here make him feel so comfortable and calm! They work with him and me to find the best solution for his pain and his anxiety! I appreciate that they let him keep the weighted vest on after x-rays are done and since they suggested using nitrous during the cleaning process, it's been a game changer! We've been able to get on top of his dental needs and make it a happy experience all around!

My kids have been patients for over 10 years now and they count down the days when they get to go to the dentist! The staff is knowledge and kind, they educate without shaming. We love Dr. Smith and Dr. Marlowe, they are very validating of any concerns and make you feel so welcome. I never have to question if procedures they suggest are needed or not, I trust that they have our best interest in mind! 100% recommend!
