Dr. Paul Effinger fell in love with dentistry at an early age. His father owned and operated a dental lab in Southern Indiana, where he began working at 11 years old. He grew up knowing that the dental prosthetics his father crafted were meant to help people regain their smiles and confidence, and he made it his mission to continue that tradition as a dentist. After high school he headed to Purdue University, where he received his Masters in Biology. He then earned his Doctorate from the Midwestern Universitys College of Dental Medicine in Chicago.Having vacationed in Breckenridge, he knew that Colorado was the place hed eventually call home. He spent time working at two busy, corporate-run dental practices honing his craft, building his reputation, and discovering who he wanted to be as a dentist. Dr. Effinger wanted to help every patient achieve their ideal smile, regardless of their financial situation. He wanted to provide conservative care and create real relationships with everyone who sat in his chair. And now, at Alliance Family Dentistry, he can do just that.
Dr. Robert Colt earned his bachelors degree in medical science from the University of Colorado and his doctorate of dental sciences from the CU Health Science Center. He began practicing dentistry in 2004 and has continued his dental education, becoming proficient in oral surgery, orthodontics, endodontics, prosthodontics and the treatment of craniofacial pain and sleep breathing disorders. He uses these skills and his knowledge of advanced technologies to provide the best possible patient care.
With our advanced technology, like the Precise LTM Soft Tissue Diode Laser, we can provide a wide variety of procedures with little to no pain or bleeding. Laser therapy is used to perform minor surgeries and to promote the healing of infected tissue, and works by using a powerful beam of light that stops bleeding before it even starts.
Dr. Effinger got his start in the field of dentistry at his fathers dental lab. With a wealth of experience, he knows what to look for in a reliable lab partner. We work closely with our lab to produce high-quality crowns, implants, and dentures that are beautiful, fit comfortably, and can stand the test of time.
Dr. Brian Tuttle grew up in a small town in Southern Utah, where he developed a love of nature and the outdoors. He always had a desire to go into the medical field, but it wasnt until college that he decided on dentistry, drawn as he was to the combination of art and healing.
Dr. Tuttle studied chemistry at Southern Utah University before attending the University of Iowa Dental School. He then headed to Fort Sill, Oklahoma and joined the U.S. Army, where he completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry. He continued to serve on active duty from 2005-2010, including a year in Iraq with the First Infantry Division as the Brigade Dental Surgeon.
After his time on active duty, he joined the reserves and continued working as a dentist until 2015, when he opened Tuttle Family Dentistry in Colorado Springs. Dr. Tuttles aim when he set out was to foster a positive dental experience for his patients seeking help with cosmetic and family dentistry in Colorado Springs. His goal to create a place where he would take his own family for treatment has propelled the practice to the forefront of modern dentistry.
When hes not in the office, Dr. Tuttle loves spending time with his wife Jane and their five beautiful children. Theyre a very active family, always enjoying the outdoors, whether its running, fishing, camping, or hunting. In fact, all of the animals featured in the office were acquired on his hunting trips. Hes also still a part of the National Guard, as well as a member of the American Dental Association.
