Dr. Robert Kanas is a licensed dentist with over 36 years of clinical practice in both the dental and medical fields. He is board certified in diagnosing unusual and rare diseases of the mouth in addition to more common conditions such as tooth decay, periodontal (gum) disease and common mouth ulcers. He is also very familiar with the early signs of oral cancer. He has taught at various dental schools in the United States and mentored many recent dental graduates. Dr. Kanas is familiar with growth and development of the jaws and teeth in young children and has written peer reviewed articles on the subject of early treatment goals of proper occlusion (bite) in young children and recommend early dental screenings before the age of 7 for children during a routine visit to the dentist for these types of issues.
Dr. Kanas graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, WI and received an advance dental degree from the University of Southern California and Veterans Administration Medical Center in Long Beach, CA. He has published numerous peer reviewed articles in national publications including the Journal of the American Dental Association (JADA). Dr. Kanas is a member of several national dental organizations including the American Dental Association and the Michigan Dental Association.
Dr. Kanas and his wife Lisa have two children. His oldest son, Scott, is a licensed orthodontist practicing in Rochester, MI and his youngest son, Mitch, is a recent graduate of the George Washington University of Law and is employed as an attorney with the Commerce Department in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Ghannam received his DDS degree in 1985 from the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor. Dr. Ghannam has been delivering healthy, beautiful smiles to patients for over 34 years. Even after graduating with his dental degree, his passion for learning never stopped. To this day he keeps up to date with many continuing education classes and is certified in traditional and mini implants, orthodontics, veneers and IV sedation to ensure his patients receive the most advanced dental care.
Dr. Pflum received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2015 at University of Detroit Mercy and his PhD at the Department of Chemistry at Yale University in 1998. Dr. Pflum keeps up to date with many advanced continuing dental education courses such as implants.
Dr. Yasaman Kahnamouei received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in May 2001 from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and finished her major in biology at the University of Detroit Mercy in May 2008. She received the Golden Award in Prosthodontics from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2015 and was on the Deans List at the University of Detroit Mercy.

Absolutely amazing job. I had to have a tooth extracted and they explained everything perfectly: the costs, aftercare, amount of pain, everything. I've had a couple root canals before at another dentist and was ignored when I let them know I'm in pain during the procedure. Allenwood renumbed me when I let them know and even waited until I was completely comfortable with proceeding. Other than my jaw muscles aching (expected when a tooth is being yanked out), I felt nothing during the procedure. Top notch job.

I had a deep cleaning done , plus x-rays of my teeth.The staff were very courteous and helpful to me. Since I was a first time patient, Italie (staff member) showed me around the clinic. The wait time was very minimal. This place is very professional. The staff answered all my questions. Dr. Pflum is a very nice dentist. He explained what needed to be done for me, but did not pressure me into anything. Natashia, the hygienist, is wonderful. Check this place out. It's a free consultation.

Wonderful experience! I've been putting off choosing a new dentist since moving, so I was way overdue for a visit. The entire staff was so friendly, and concerned with patient comfort. I was totally at ease, and am happy to say I've found my new dentist!

Dr Ghannam is our family dentist for a while now and I can honestly recommend him for all your dental needs. The staff are always nice and helpful, they'll make you feel comfortable and at ease. Their office is clean and the rooms are cozy with a Netflix tv to watch while waiting. Don't hesitate to try them and thank me later. Good luck!!!!

I am amazed at how wonderful the customer care is here. I have never had a better experience at a dentistry than I did today. Each person I was introduced to was very nice and both the dentist and dental hygienist genuinely cared about my questions and concerns. I highly recommend being a patient here. **Updated as of May 2022** The only complaint so far is that they will not let you sit or stand in the room with your child while they do a filling, which is scary. The other dentistry we went to prior to this one, allowed us to do so.

I rarely post reviews but this dentist office exceeded my expectations. My 6 year old needed a lot of dental work done. I brought her in for the procedures and kept changing my mind about what we were going to get done that day. The dentist was so understanding, saying it's hard for kids to tell us exactly what's causing pain. Everyone's attitude from the receptionist, to the tech, to the dentist - were all so warm and accommodating! They even gave my daughter a $2 bill at the end for being so brave. I never thought I'd have a really good experience at any dentist, but these people were so great!

I had a tooth bothering me and they were quick to get me in for a new patient. Very nice people. I stopped going to the dentist because of other dentist not caring. But I will keep coming here. They do a really good job!

amazing service. they do x rays first visit to see the cost. when taking out teeth they make sure u have no pain. when you make appointments they always have close options at different times and just an amazing dental office. im gonna start my braces journey with them. Very excited . the doctor is very nice, staff is also so nice. amazing dental form all my experience.
