At Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), we continually go the extra mile to furtherour mission to heal, comfort and care for the people of our community. Each one of our19,000 colleagues contributes to this mission and helps makeall communities we serve healthier and better places to live.

In the late 1950s, with the areas population booming, a group of Lutheran clergy purchased a 102-acre alfalfa field in Bethlehem and set out to build another hospital for the community. Muhlenberg Hospital Center opened its doors in 1961 as a 192-bed facility for the chronically ill.

The inspiration for our modern-day health network came from Leonard Parker Pool, the founder of Air Products. In addition to having a brilliant mind for business, Pool also had a passion for health care and serving his fellow man. In the late 1960s, that passion became personal.

Guided by Pools vision, we have since transformed into one of the nation's most respected health networks, offering comprehensive care in 95clinical specialties across eight campuses. This care is complemented by clinical research and education, including amedical school partnershipwith the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine thats preparing the doctors of tomorrow through the SELECT program.

Our values are our core. They are what we believe. We bring our values to life through our actions, so when you interact with an LVHN colleague you feel confident that our colleagues are committed to giving you the experience you expect and deserve.

Our flagship hospital was built in 1974 in Salisbury Township, Lehigh County, a suburban area adjacent to Allentown, Pa. It serves as the hub for many specialty services, including our highly regarded cancer center which was selected as the second member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance in 2015 and Lehigh Valley Reilly Childrens Hospital. Lehigh Valley-based nurses and hospitals have earned (and re-earned) Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2002. Highlighted services at LVHCedar Crest:

We miss Dr Matt but Dr Devin has really been amazing in treating our 3 year old daughter. She actually looks forward to her dental visits.

I have had the kids here 3 times, as they are one of the only dentists to take their insurance locally. Dentist was fantastic and explained everything. However, the support staff (front desk) are rude as hell. Maybe they just hate their job but I have not been treated with basic human respect repeatedly and we are searching for a new dentist. We visited the Allentown office, I cannot speak for the Bethlehem office.

Only dentist my children have ever been to that they don't mind going to. The staff are so patient and handle children wonderfully. Would recommend to anyone especially anyone whose children may be fearful of a dentist like my youngest used to be.

They have gone from a friendly family dentist to a money making business. The dentist attempted to get me to make another appointment to fill a 3rd cavity as my son was in the chair for two fillings. In addition, they wanted to use nitrous oxide to sedate him because he was a little nervous, in no way thrashing or out of control. I feel as if part of their job is to try and make the kids feel comfortable without the use of anesthetics.

This place do not care about patients I took my daughter to get a cleaning and the staff was rude . The two hygienists that took care of my daughter were very rude and did not know anything about customer care one of the was asking me questions did not wait for me answer and she was in a Rush did not explain the procedure and she was mean when I told her that she was supposed to wait for me answer and explain me what she was doing with me daughter .she told me that If do not like the place I can go somewhere else plus I was disrespectful because I told her she wasn't the owner she was just an employee. I did request another hygienist and she gave the wrong x rays to the doctor and the doctor told me that my daughter need a crown I said how come because they did not took any x rays the I ask for a manager they couldn't get me in touch with the manger first they said that she wasn't not In the office then they gave a phone number from another dental office from the same owners and they did not help me at all . This office is a shady place because nobody is in charge of the employees and the employees do wherever they want . Thank Good nothing bad happened to my daughter because this is the place they can kill a patient and they will hide everything and give not answers.

I loved the hygienists and the doctor but the front desk is horrible! Grouchy as ever and for the past 2 months I have been calling and was leaving voicemails to call me back to schedule my kids and no answer, no return calls, now it just buzzed busy. There is no way to get in touch with these people so I will be taking my kids elsewhere this is ridiculous!

Their care declined after Dr.Matt leaving. The receptionist is also one of the rudest people I've ever met and extremely lazy to put it lightly. We will be moving dentists ASAP.

HIGHLY recommend! I called on a Monday morning for a fall that occurred Sunday evening. My 2.5 year old busted his lip and had a very wiggly front tooth. We are not patients (we see a family dentist), so I was worried about getting in. They were able to see us within hours, SAME DAY! My husband took our son and he couldn't rave about Dr. Matt and the staff enough. Our son sees quite a few specialists, so he has 'doctor fear'. However, he didn't cry and fight during the whole appointment. We will be switching both our children to here for routine dental care from here out. What a pleasurable experience!
