We would like to welcome Dr. Michael Holbert, a native of Ogden UT, who grew up skiing, hiking, and biking in the Rockies. He completed his Bachelors degree in Microbiology in 2011 at Weber State University in Ogden, UT. Dr. Holbert has extensive experience receiving dental treatment and is therefore very sympathetic and kind with patients. He has experienced both positive and negative dental visits before finding an amazing dentist who eventually allowed him to shadow, recommended he go to dental school, and she ultimately wrote a letter of recommendation which helped him gain entry to dental school. His desire to travel took him to Portland, Maine, where he received his dental degree from the University of New England in 2018. He has since spent a year working as a General Dentist in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Holbert has a calming presence and believes that dental visits can be something to look forward to! Dr. Holbert is excited to contribute to the dental profession through excellent clinical results and constant learning and applying those skills to help every patient have an excellent experience.

Dr. Hottenstein, DMD, FAGD has proudly practiced dentistry in the Rutland area since 2000. She is a strong believer in continued learning; she and her team of professionals attend continuing education courses on an ongoing basis to stay current with the latest in dental methods and materials. Caring for the community and the environment is more than a job for Dr. Hottenstein, DMD, FAGD it is a passion. Joyces ultimate goal is to create a caring, welcoming and sustainable environment for people to come feel safe and enjoy high quality dental care.
Joyce volunteered for 8 years as the Secretary for the Vermont State Dental Society. Joyce also is an active volunteer for the Red Logan Free dental clinic where she is an adjunct professor to senior dental students from Tufts, UNE, BU and Harvard. She is the current president of the Vermont AGD, the premier association for continuing education. She is also a member of the ADA, Vermont state Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, Ecodentistry Association, International College of Dentists, the American Equilibration Society, and RV Tucker Study Clubs. She is a Pankey dentist with The Pankey Institute and has completed a one-year Oral Facial Pain continuum through LSU dental school. She also maintains active memberships with the DAR and Rotary International.
