I am a LBK Amputee, caused by trama in a motorcycle accident in June 2018. I haven't been an Amputee long but I have learned from some unpleasant experiences. My old Socket was a sucktion/Vacume system. It became ill fitting, I would have to dump sweat out of the liner, which would break my skin down, causing splitting on my shin bone. I couldn't hold a job because of the pain and bleeding. I had no quality of a better life. I went to Allen's with an idea of what I wanted to try, and after several months of consulting with Fernando, a first class professional who not only listened to my idea, but offered professional advise throughout the process. Fernando then customized me a pin and lock system, with Boa technology. The socket is amazing, it fits perfectly, The sweating is controlled, and the socks are no longer part of my life. I can where the prosthesis all day long with out issues. Because of the Boa technology I can compensate for the different transformations that my residual limb will go threw with a turn of a dial..I would highly recommend Allen's to anyone.They are very professional, they listen to you the patient..and will offer there expertise..I am a very satisfied and greatful patient.
