Dr. Woods was raised in Sacramento, CA and graduated from Rio Americano High School. He played football for the Air Force Academy prior to receiving his undergraduate degree in Microbiology from the University of California at Davis. In 1998, he received his D.M.D. degree from Temple University.
Dr. Woods is member of many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, The Pennsylvania Dental Association, The Luzerne County Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Woods enjoys golfing, attending local Little League games, high school field hockey and football games and spending time with his family. He and his wife Susan, along with their son and daughter reside in Kingston, PA.

My first visit to Dr. Woods was for a chipped front tooth. I couldn't imagine he could match it exactly to the rest of my teeth. He did such an amazing job, and you can't see where it broke! He has a very calming and gentle demeanor, and he has very fair rates also. Definitely recommend!

I have been going to Dr. Woods since his practice was in Tafton, PA now probably 20 years ago. He is without a doubt the best dentist I have ever been to. Even now that he moved his practice to Kingston, PA I will make the trip which is almost 3 hours round trip to get the BEST dental attention. Lisa & Sherri are the best. Try the baking soda teeth cleaning it is just great! I have great teeth now due to Dr. Woods !

How can you review without using harsh words, hmmm.. Go for filling, middle of it, tells you root canal, then tells you a cap is needed. Then they overcharge and threaten. Only way to stop scammers is to report them to Attorney Generals Office. Now I also have a front tooth that stands out as it is many shades off from other teeth. I doubt I even needed a root canal. But like a surgery, how do you say WAIT, I want a second opinion when first opinion was a mere filling. BEWARE

I hardly ever write reviews but after having been to other practices large and small, I've found Dr Woods to be the best dentist/practice in the Wyoming Valley. Patient health and satisfaction proves to be his driving force. He does not want you to leave his chair without being 100% satisfied. I highly recommend Dr Woods to anyone! He is all about the patient and what will be the best treatment or procedure for the patient's health. He doesn't try to force you into unnecessary work or charge exuberant amounts of money for needed work. His office and staff treat everyone with respect and compassion whether your 9 or 90.

What is there not to love!! Dr. Woods and his staff are so friendly and professional...and best of all they make me and my children feel comfortable during our visits! My son fell and injured his mouth roller skating and Dr. Woods was quick to see him after hours, which made me and my son happy! As a worried mom, it's nice to know we can rely on our dentist:)

Very friendly people! Clean place too! Barely any wait time. They get you in and get things done! They make sure you are comfortable while getting any work done to your teeth. Wish I went to this place all my life!
