In the 7th grade, I knew I wanted to be a dentist. My mom worked in an orthodontists office and I was fascinated by the transformation dentistry can bring. I love serving people and love our community.
Dr. Dan grew up in Ohio, but fell in love in Colorado as a teenager, when he backpacked around the Gunnison area with his high school church group. As an Eagle Scout, he grew up camping, canoeing, and dreaming of the great outdoors he remembered as a teenager. His dream became a reality in 2007 when he made Colorado his home.
He attended Walsh University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in biology. During college, he sold computers for Gateway and fell in love with the idea of combining his computer background with his biology degree to offer cutting-edge dentistry. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo. After graduating from dental school, he completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Alamosa, CO.
As a Fellow in the International College of Dentists, Dr. Dan is recognized as one of the leading dentists in the country. Every year he completes at least 100 hours of continuing education. Dr. Dan was the first dentist in Boulder to use a laser to do composite restorations without using anesthetic and has been using advanced lasers since 2014.
An avid humanitarian, Dr. Dan participated in a mission in Ghana, West Africa, completing charity dental work. He also served as an externship dentist with Indian Health Services in White Earth, Minnesota.
He and his wife enjoy spending time with their three children. They take full advantage of the raw beauty of Colorado with cycling, mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding and skiing. He has ridden his bike across Iowa twice during the annual RAGBRAI ride.

Extremely friendly, courteous staff, and Dr. Dan is an awesome guy who inspires confidence with his high-tech equipment and skill sets. His practice employs all the latest technology to make for the most comfortable, drama-free dental experience, even for a white-knuckler like me. I recently had my 3yo in for his first visit and it was phenomenal! In 50 years of dentistry, I have NEVER felt more comfortable.

Best Dentist I have ever been to. I've had two cavities filled and it has been by far the most pain/trouble free experience I've had. I go twice yearly for cleanings and now, I actually enjoy going to the dentist! That is worth its weight in gold!

I absolutely love the team at Alleman Family Dental. They are professional and competent while also being very friendly and caring. Dan and his entire staff are incredible. I had an emergency with a chipped tooth, and I live out of the state. My family recommended going to see Dr. Alleman and I am so relieved that his staff could squeeze me in! The whole process of getting an appointment was seamless and everyone was so lovely on the phone! When I walked into Alleman Family Dental, I was immediately taken by how beautiful and calm the waiting room was! Once I was brought to the back, his staff was so lovely helping me get settled. Once Dr. Alleman came back to meet with me, he examined my teeth and talked me through the procedure of what was going to take place. I left feeling so relieved, and without half of my tooth missing. If you are in Boulder, this is the dentist to see!

Well equipped. Super friendly, comforting and professional environment. Well trained staff. I booked in for intense sensitivity and cleaning. I was in a fair amount of pain. It hurt when the wind hit my smile wrong. They managed to get me in earlier because of a cancellation (so they pay attention and actually care) and treated me really quickly. The explanations of the treatment and the cause was laid out so I could understand everything. Generally just a wonderful experience and everyone in the office is really really lovely . 10/10 would recommend.

Look no further for the best dental work in Boulder! Was in town for only a few days and Dr Alleman and his team set me up quickly from a great consult to getting a crown and inlay done! They are professional and extremely personable and I cannot recommend them enough. 10/10

Dr. Alleman is an amazing dentist. He is professional, patient, kind and skillful. The hygienist are great. The office has new technology and is super clean. I was so impressed with his ability to fabricate a permanet crown in the office. Dr. Alleman truly cares and I highly recommend this practice.
