Dr. Bergano has been in practice since 1983. We believe in being patient focused with a strong emphasis on quality of care by taking advantage of the latest in technology.We believe in spending the necessary time to listen to achieve an individualized treatment for you. Furthermore, we believe in exceeding expectations, ours and yours. Our digital x-rays improves the accuracy of our diagnosis, our intra-oral camera gives you the ability to see what we see to further your understanding of your treatment.
Allan was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He graduated from the University of Washington with a BS in Environmental Health and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery. In 1983, he moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia and began his dental career as a solo practitioner. He has served the community for 29 years along with his experienced staff.
Dr. Bergano and his spouse, Edwina, are co-founders of the Hampton Roads Chapter of the Filipino American National Historical Society (FANHS). They worked collaboratively with local communities and published two books on the lives of Filipino Americans in Hampton Roads. Dr. Bergano is a mentor to high school, college students and teachers. He was an accomplished marathon runner and an avid bogey golfer.

For anyone looking for a great dental office, this is the place ! In all my years of trying to find a dentist that makes you feel welcome and safe I can honestly say, 27 years later I found it . This office and staff has exceeded those expectations.

I was Extremely certified with the customer service from the moment I called for my appointment to when I entered the office. I was very impressed, the staffs were really friendly and the doctor was really warmth and welcoming, it makes you feel comfortable.

1st, they have reclining massage chairs. Dr. Allan and staff are friendly and treat you like family. He always ask about how I'm doing and gueninly cares about his clients. Before the appointment, they give u goggles to shield your eyes from the light and after the appointment, the hygienist whipped my mouth with a clean cloth and dried it with a paper towel. They are awesome!

Dr Bergano himself is really nice and super friendly. Most of the staff is. It seems very family oriented and they're good with names and remembering patients. However, I got a filling done a few years back, that was not done correctly. Due to me not having insurance I had to wait to get work done again. When I called today to make my appointment the receptionist proceeded to get smart with me and was very nasty . She cut me off several times and made several assumptions without reading clinical notes. Because my work was not done correctly I was hesitant on going back, but I for sure will not be returning now.

Dr. Bergano and all of the staff are wonderful! They are very professional while also making you feel completely comfortable. It's very much a family like atmosphere. I would recommend this practice to everyone!

Dr. Bergano and his staff provide a clean, comfortable and family-oriented environment. With massaging chairs and soothing sounds, it is hard to believe you are even at a dental office. They care about you and your overall oral health. They provide a thorough cleaning, ensure healthy gums, and even check for early detection of throat cancer. What more could you ask for? They are always friendly and professional, and they even value your time. My family and I are long-time customers. At an early age, my son chipped his front tooth. Now, as a teenager, he surgically received a porcelain tooth by Dr. Bergano that looks natural and helps build his confidence and self-esteem. My son now has a beautiful & healthy smile. We look forward to our regular check-ups because they all make us feel special and provide excellent service at affordable and fair prices. Please come join the family of friends. Dr Bergano's office is great. Reception is warm and welcoming. Dental Assistants are always friendly and can handle my son's millions of questions. Dr Bergano is nice and thorough. My son loves coming to this dentists office.

I'll make my backstory short by saying I've had painful experiences at the dentist's office before. Military life has made my dental providers pretty inconsistent, so when I moved to Norfolk permanently I did a lot of research because I wanted to (finally) have a dentist that knows my background and will work with me to keep my mouth clean and healthy. Dr. Bergano's name was on top my list, and after seeing him twice now I know exactly why. The staff is really friendly and efficient. They will make you feel welcome and will listen to you. I think they understand that seeing a dentist is somewhat stressful for majority of us folks. I've only been there twice, but I was seen on time both times, it does look like they manage the schedule very efficiently. And the thing I love the most about Dr. Bergano is how conservative he is, meaning he will do everything to preserve your teeth as much as possible, avoiding unnecessary interventions. I have heard some terrifying stories about people that were recommended extensive work (mostly happens at those chain dental places) and it turned out they didn't need any of that. It feels good to know I have a team of qualified professionals that have my best interest truly in first place. I cannot recommend them enough!
