Mohsena Ahmad DDS, FICOI, DICOI, is an outstanding dentist with the ability to truly connect with those in her care. Through her work at her self-named practice, Mohsena Ahmad D.D.S., FICOI, DICOI, in San Jose, California, Dr. Ahmad has helped many area residents restore, enhance, and preserve their dental health.

Martha is originally from Southern California and moved to the Bay Area 11 years ago. Martha has been in the dental field for over 10 years and graduated as a Dental Hygienist at Carrington College. She enjoys reading, traveling, cooking, and spending time with her family. She loves working closely, providing gentle and quality care for her patients, and educating them about dental hygiene.
The dentist may be the star artist in the dental 'studio,' but the dentists ' role in the office wouldn 't be as efficient if there weren 't any efficient assistant(s) working with him/her. Susana Hernandez is just such a dental assistant, and apart from working with the dentist during their treatment procedures, she also ensures a clean, sanitary work environment. She also makes sure theres compliance with proper infection control practices. She has been a dental assistant since 2001, acquiring a superior level of knowledge and expertise in that time, enabling her to assist with Orthodontic treatments. Her fluency in Spanish also helps her provide a more personalized level of care for Spanish-speaking patients; all of these strengths signify that her presence in the office is a true asset to our practice.
Stephany is bilingual, receiving her dental assistant certificate in May 2015. Her role is to keep the environment clean and ensure our patients are comfortable during their visits. During her free time, she loves to spend time with her family. She enjoys the role of a dental assistant and helping patients as much as possible to maintain a brighter smile!

They were racially and financially bias towards me, that's the only way that I could explain it. I went in for a cleaning, but was told that I would need a deep cleaning, although I already paid for the regular cleaning. I have insurance but it was a Saturday and we couldn't reach them. So I paid out of my pocket, after I was told that she would not do the cleaning, but would do the deep cleaning I was then told that the money would go towards the deep cleaning, what ever I owed after insurance. So the day of the deep cleaning comes and they said that they billed my insurance for the 1st visit, I don't understand why, the money that I paid was supposed to go to the deep cleaning, watch them, they mix help with luring people in to paying more money.

The Doctor that did my assessment was nice and knowledgeable and I will give her a 7/10 for how well she explained the recommended treatment. The point where I had a problem was when it came down to insurance coverage/estimates. I found this place through my insurance directory and when I spoke to the person at the front desk, I was told my insurance (United Healthcare) was accepted. When it was time to print out my Treatment Plan, I was flabbergasted. Front desk staff comes to me with a piece of paper saying my out of pocket cost for 4 wisdom teeth extraction is $2000+. Mind you, I work at a dental office and I have been in the dental field for a while, so I know how insurances work; I basically do it EVERYDAY FOR WORK. When I asked why my out of pocket was so high, the Treatment Coordinator tells me " well our doctor is out of network with a lot of insurances and I don't know if yours is one of them. For that reason we will charge you the UCR fees(basically out of pocket fees like you don't have insurance) and if your insurance pays us, we will reimburse the 2000+ back to you or you can keep it as credit on your account". If I didn't know better I would have fallen for this and literally gotten scammed out of $2000+ after being told my insurance was accepted at this office. It was basically a waste of my time and I wish I knew this before I went there. I even asked if there was another oral surgeon I could be referred to, and I was told to look at my insurance directory; the same directory i found her through. So this review is for anyone who has United Healthcare. Please do not go here, unless you got the $$$$$ to pay out of pocket for treatment. Time is money and I don't want you wasting your time like I did.

I brought my 5 y/o son for a tooth removal. I highly recommend Dr. Ahmad for any dental work. Doctor and staff are awesome. They know how to make the patient feel at ease n comfortable.

I have been seeing Dr. Ahmad for almost 15 years and, even though I moved out of the area, I still drive an hour twice a year to see her. She's fantastic and the team is great.

Awesome staff and great experience! At the time of my visit I was 30 something weeks pregnant and the doctor kept making sure I was okay and would take breaks to sit the chair up so my back would stop hurting. Even though I don't like getting work done on my teeth, I will definitely only use this dentist in the future. Also, she's very good at giving the numbing injections, I barely felt a pinch.
