Providing dentistry for children requires a calling. As a profession, it requires having a strong clinical skill set, a keen understanding of medical conditions, knowledge and application of child psychology, and most importantly, compassion and patience. I have always enjoyed working with children and adolescents, and love being able to help them with their oral health needs.

Each day, as I meet with new patients and their parents, I challenge myself to make a positive impact during their visit. Many parents come burdened with fear, from their own past experiences, wishing their child will not have to go through the same.

I am reminded daily of the responsibility parents place in my hands, to treat their children with the utmost care and respect. I listen to my patients concerns and strive to provide a caring, safe environment in which to have their treatment. It is through each encounter, one patient at a time, that we are able to make a difference in the lives of those we are honored to serve.

From 2003 to 2017 I have served as Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at Loma Linda University, where I delivered lectures and participate in research. I know that learning is a lifelong process. Currently, I serve as a Lecturer with the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Loma Linda University and as a Guest Lecturer at San Diego State University.

As a board-certified pediatric dentist I take additional courses that other pediatric dentists do not take, further enhancing my knowledge and expertise in the field of pediatric dentistry. By participating in continuing education courses, I am developing my knowledge base, which allows me to learn new ways to help treat my patients.

I fell in love with San Diego when I was in high school. So shortly after completing my residency program I decided to move to San Diego to start career. My wife, Lisa, and I met while students at Loma Linda University; she is a speech therapist. When Im not caring for my patients or teaching, I enjoy exploring San Diego; whether thats running at Mission Bay, exploring the tidepools near Cabrillo, or wandering the museums at Balboa Park. I also enjoy playing tennis, reading nonfiction, and overseas mission trips.

I am passionate about providing dental care for children in underserved communities. I have had the opportunity to provide dental care for pediatric patients in Mexico, Bolivia, Ecuador, Ethiopia, and Papua New Guinea. Being able to share my skills and help a child is incredibly rewarding.

Locally, I serve on an appointed committee through the San Diego County Dental Society. I also serve as a volunteer dentist at Clinic with a Heart, which offers a free dental treatment program. Additionally, I volunteer my time with the San Diego Mission, a homeless ministry in downtown San Diego. I am an active member of the Bonita Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church, where I play guitar with the praise team.

Jenny is a transplant to sunny San Diego. She is originally from Seattle, WA. With a decade of dental experience, Jenny comes with knowledge from many aspects of dentistry as she has worked in general, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry.

At All Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, Jessica is the first friendly face you see when you walk through the door. Jessica says, 'What brings me joy working at All Smiles Pediatric Dentistry is greeting our pediatric patients and their parents, as well as putting a smile on their faces.'

Danielle is a native San Diegan. She completed the registered dental assisting program at Grossmont Health Occupation Center in 2000. She has an extensive amount of experience in all areas of dentistry. In addition to chairside assisting, Danielle has also served as an instructor at a local dental assisting program for a number of years. Providing quality care and education to patients is her favorite part of dentistry.

In her time away from helping patients, Danielle enjoys spending time with her family camping and fishing. Danielle loves being active in her childrens classes as a room parent. Danielle is also a Girl Scout leader and youth leader at the Rock Church, where she enjoys mentoring and guiding the young girls.

Away from the practice, Lea enjoys working on crossword puzzles, singing, playing several musical instruments, and spending time with her friends and family. Lea has a wonderful sense of humor and has a great deal of knowledge on trivia!

Ruby is a native San Deigan. Ruby completed her registered dental assisting training from United Education Institute College. Ruby has a number of years of experience in several areas of dentistry. In addition to chairside assisting, Ruby was a dental instructor at UEI College prior to coming to All Smiles Pediatric Dentistry.

The dentists office can be a scary place for a child. But at All Smiles Pediatric Dentistry, your child will feel comfortable from the moment he or she walks in the door. While parents enjoy complimentary wi-fi Internet, your child can relax and enjoy playing with toys or reading a fun children's book or magazine.

During examinations and procedures, your child can watch family-friendly videos on a ceiling television with their own set of headphones. At all times, Dr. Allen Job and his experienced staff are attentive in keeping your child at ease and comfortable.

The friendly atmosphere is just one of many features that make All Smiles Pediatric Dentistry unique. Dr. Job, who is a board-certified pediatric dentist, stands out because he offers care for children with special needs, such as autism. In addition, he is experienced in treating children who have experienced dental trauma. Dr. Job is also well trained in providing treatment under sedation, if needed.

We encourage you to bring your child for their first dental checkup starting at 12 months of age, says Dr. Job, who is an assistant professor at the Loma Linda University Department of Pediatric Dentistry. Theyll get excellent care, right from the start.

When hes not working, Dr. Job spends significant time traveling to South America, Central America and Africa to treat children in need. You can also find Dr. Job speaking at area schools and colleges about oral health. Whenever he treats children, Dr. Job finds his work extremely rewarding. It brings me great joy to help children have a positive experience at the dentist and develop a lifelong positive attitude toward their oral health!

We want your child to be cavity free, but if dental decay (cavities) is present we offer multiple ways of taking care of them in the most comfortable and safest way. Treatment is completed in our private treatment rooms which are outfitted with overhead TV and headphones for your child. Depending on your childs age, level of cooperation, and amount of treatment needed to be completed, we offer treatment using laughing gas (nitrous oxide) to in-office IV sedation, using a dental anesthesiologist.

Starting your child on the path to ideal dental health begins with his or her first visit to our San Diego pediatric dental office. This first impression will set the stage for your childs initial feelings toward dentistry, so we work hard to make each experience fun and comfortable.

Dr. Job and our team have created a warm and inviting environment where our young patients can feel safe and welcomed. We have age-appropriate toys and books, private treatment rooms for parents with young children, and a prize (reward) system for children of all ages. All these little things end up making a big difference when it comes to giving your child a memorable dental experience.

The American Association of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children be seen by a pediatric dentist every six months. This allows us to build a relationship between your child, you the parent, and our staff. It also lets Dr. Job create a road map to measure oral health milestones in your child's health. Regular checkups with your child helps us to stay proactive, providing information to you and preventive services to keep your child's teeth in optimal condition.

Dr. Job is the only pediatric dentist in San Diego County who is also an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Dentistry (since 2005) and an active private practitioner. What is means is that he constantly learns about and teaches the latest advances in pediatric dentistry. He offers truly personalized dental careDr. Job will be the person who sees your child for their exam and also the same dentist who will treat your child. This builds trust, confidence, and a long-term relationship with your child, and peace of mind for you as a parent.

Your child's first primary or baby teeth will begin to erupt between the ages of six and 12 months, and will continue to erupt until about age three. During this time, your child's gums may feel tender and sore. To help alleviate this discomfort, we recommend that you soothe the gums by rubbing a clean finger or a cool, wet cloth across them. You may also choose to make use of a teething ring. When your child has finished teething, you can expect a total of 20 primary teeth.

Your child's primary teeth are shed at various times throughout childhood. Permanent teeth begin erupting at age six, and continue until age 21. Adults have 28 permanent teeth (32, including wisdom teeth).

As your child's teeth erupt, be sure to examine them every two weeks, looking for lines and discoloration that may be caused by decay. Remember that sugary foods and liquids can attack a new tooth, so take care that your child brushes after feeding or eating. We recommend brushing four times a day for optimal oral hygiene: after breakfast, after lunch, after dinner, and at bedtime.

Brushing can be fun, and your child should begin learning to brush as soon as the first tooth arrives. When your baby's tooth erupts, brush the tooth with a soft-bristled toothbrush and a pea-sized amount of toothpaste. For children younger than two, do not use fluoride toothpaste unless advised to do so by your dentist or other healthcare professional. We suggest reviewing proper tooth brushing procedures with your child.

Tooth decay is caused by sugars left in the mouth that turn into an acid, which can break down teeth. Children are at high risk for tooth decay for a simple reason: many children and adolescents do not practice regular, good oral hygiene habits. Proper brushing and flossing routines combined with regular dental visits to All Smiles Pediatric Dentistry help keep tooth decay away.

Your child should visit Dr. Job every six months for regular dental cleanings and checkups. We recommend fluoride treatments twice a year along with cleanings to keep teeth their strongest. Tooth sealants are also recommended because they 'seal' the deep grooves in your child 's teeth, preventing decay from forming in these hard-to-reach areas. Sealants last for several years, but will be monitored at your child 's regular checkups.

I love how they were able to see both my sons on the same day. My youngest son has never been to the dentist and is autistic so I was nervous for him. Once inside, everyone was very friendly and warm. I sat my son on my lap and held his arms while they did the cleaning and Lea was so fast and gentle with him, I think he was only crying because of being held down but both my boys has great teeth, no gravitas. Would definitely recommend to all the parents for their kids first time visit.

Have been seeing hygienist Lea and Dr. Job for almost 4 years now. They are awesome and consistently awesome. The staff is friendly and organized. The flow through clinic is timely. Care is great. Lea especially has a gift for pediatrics and it shows! She put my barely verbal toddler at ease and remembers my daughter visit to visit.
