My education at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, a general practice residency at Prince Georges Hospital Center (Level I Trauma Center), and my specialty training in orthodontics at theUniversity of Detroit Mercyprovided me with a strong foundation of knowledge and experience.
I continue to learn from the topeducators/clinicians in orthodontics today through lectures, meetings, study clubsand webinars.I am very interested in total facial aesthetics and have completed additional training in the administration of Botox and dermal filler therapy. Continuing education enables me to provide my patients with faster treatment times and better results.

Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and can last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

It is very important that you continue to visit your family dentist once every six monthsfor teeth cleanings and routine dental checkups, even during your orthodontic treatment. If extra dental care is needed, we will be happy to coordinate with your family dentist to make sure youreceivethe best possible care.

I've known Dr. Bonner for 15 years. He did a decent job on my braces but I was left with two significant gaps when he took them off. Recently I decided I wanted to get them closed so called All Smiles and they ordered some Invisalign-like retainers to close them. Long story short, after 6 months, 10 office visits, endless phone calls, two broken impressions and two faulty retainers, Shelley at the front desk acted like I wasn't owed a refund on the $700 I paid for the retainers. Dr. Bonner did end up promising me a ~half~ refund after realizing the mistake but never called me back or returned any of my calls. He was so friendly with me and almost treated me as if we were close friends but I guess once I became unprofitable or inconvenient, I became irrelevant to him.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Bonner is thorough in his approach, and he takes his time with each patient. The office staff is helpful with questions and concerns, and they clearly have a wealth of information and experience. Our experience has been great, but I do wish it was easier to get in touch with the office. The office locations are busy, and they provide an option to leave messages which are always returned, but it would be nice to call and speak directly to a person.

An order for a tooth extraction was mistranscribed and Dr. Bonner signed off on it. Instead of my 8 y.o. daughter's back upper molars being extracted, her upper canines were extracted instead. Dr. Bonner would not agree to cover, at his cost, any orthodontia that might be needed to remediate the problem. He is very kind and, I have no doubt, an upstanding orthodontist, but this error has left my daughter with a very goofed up smile (it will be many years until her permanent canines come in), not to mention the trauma of having to go, just a week later, for a second extraction of the molars that should have been extracted in the first place. I am deeply disappointed by our experience and we have since switched to a different practice.

Had a bonded retainer break the weekend before Thanksgiving. Dr. Bonner and his assistant, Shelly, were able to see me the day after I called. After a 45 minute appointment in the AM, I was able to get the rest of my old retainer removed and had a mold made for a new one. By that afternoon I picked it up, and the price was reasonable too. This was easily the smoothest 'dental emergency' I've had. Thanks guys!

This issue just so happened to occur on a Friday afternoon before the weekend when I was leaving for a business trip the following Monday. I called multiple orthodontist in the area, which either they were closed for the weekend or many of them refused to help. When I thought I was going to have to go to an emergency dentist I tried All Smiles Orthodontist. The receptionist there worked so hard to squeeze me into the schedule, she spoke with the office manager and the dentist. She took down my phone number in case we got disconnected because she worked for a long time to coordinate and accommodate my issue. She was so kind and understanding, and she totally empathized with me. Dr. Bonner and his staff stayed after hours to help me. Not one of them acted as if they were annoyed by staying late on a Friday. Nobody rushed me. They were absolutely fantastic! They told me to take my time filling out the paperwork, and made great conversation. I am so pleased by their degree of professionalism and how they put their patients first! For them to take me, a person who was never seen there, after hours on a Friday afternoon was just the most kindest thing that was done for me. Dr Bonner, kudos to you and your remarkable staff! If I could give you 100 stars I would, thank you again!
