Long overdue review. Dr. R is unbelievable w/ anxious patients. I have to give a bit of background to really explain. I avoided going to the dentist for 10+ yrs. The last time I had gone to a dentist, I was told I had a cavity & never went back. About 2-3 yr after that, I began getting pain on and off. I dealt with it bc I just couldn't imagine stepping foot into a dentist. I'm not sure where my fear came from but it would keep me up almost nightly, in tears, & scared me to death. I read dental anxiety blogs & it became a nightly routine to take Advil before bed "just in case" I'd wake up in pain. There were many times I'd be pacing at night in throbbing pain but couldn't bring myself to do anything about it. I'd try to get some antibiotics in hopes that it would make the pain go away. Sometimes it did but it always returned eventually. After about 7 years, I finally shared with my sister that I was petrified. I decided to try therapy, which I don't think helped much. I decided the only way I was going to even entertain the idea is if I was 100% under anesthesia. I found a dentist in NJ who did just that. I went, he quoted me around $50k (no insurance accepted). I remember walking out & trying to figure out in my head how I could swing it. I couldn't, it really wasn't doable at all. Months later, I decided to just take a look at who my insurance covered. I talked myself into just seeing a dentist under my insurance for a consult before I would try to figure out how to come up with that much money to pay a dentist I didn't really like. I knew I liked the idea of a female, I'm not sure why but I did. Months later, I decided to just make one consult call but that was as far as I was going. Nicole is the one that answered at All Smiles that day & is the one who got me to actually step foot into the office. Pretty sure if it was anyone else, I wouldn't have showed up. I finally went, with my sister next to me. Dr. R eventually came in. I poured my anxiety & tears on her. She Was able to calm me some & it was more like a therapy session . I still wasn't sure I was going to do anything without being under anesthesia. She talked me into a combo medication with nitrous & swore to me that I would be okay. I decided that I'd just go in & try the nitrous for the next appt but 100% had every intention of getting up and walking out if I was still awake & knew what was going on. Well, she was correct & knew how to handle me. I also had other weird little things, that I'm not sure that I actually ever said but she already knew to do-Like not being laid back in the chair, not seeing any instruments, till I was "out". I was also allowed to have my sister w/ me each appointment. She just knew how & what to do which was pretty crazy considering I spent years with debilitating anxiety over this. She knows when I'm sedated enough to begin working. She's the only one I can handle telling me if I need work done. Still years later, I just needed a tooth prepped for a crown & was anxiety ridden again. I went in & she was able to tell just by looking at me that I was stressed. But once she finally sits down, reminds me to breath in, I calm down until the nitrous takes over. I know, by my sister so kindly telling me, I'm not an easy patient. Apparently I cry, laugh, hug the dentist, give them all kind of hand signals & she still puts up with me! (None of which's I can recall after) I do remember this last visit when the nitrous face mask loosened in the middle of her working on me, that she immediately had the assistant hold it down on me which was exactly what the issue was. I try to be on my best behavior but the nitrous doesn't always allow me to control my behavior! Lol. She's just hands down unbelievably great for someone with extreme dental anxiety. I seriously love this woman- she goes above and beyond. I can't say I've overcome my fear but she's able to get me to what needs to be done. I'm forever grateful for her (And yes the assistants and everyone else is great too! But she is the reason I'm able to step foot in her office.)

I highly recommend this dental clinic! I needed an implant and a crown and had several consultations with other offices before coming here. I felt the most comfortable at All Smiles and found their prices to be very reasonable compared to other places. The doctor took the time to sit down and explain everything to me in great detail. She gave me all of my options and the different price ranges for each, then provided her recommendation. They really do go above and beyond to listen to your concerns and make you feel comfortable. They did an amazing job and I'm extremely satisfied with their service!

I have no desire to go back to this dentist who quoted me $49,000 to pull teeth and make dentures. I'm sure they are good dentists but I got a 2nd opinion he said my teeth were not that bad and he could do what they were going to do at a 1/4 of the cost. I don't like being ripped off!

I had alot of work done at this office by Dr rifai...she is an unbelievable doctor....I've had approximately 6 teeth pulled prior to my visit with her...each tooth took over an hour to extract ..I have brittle teeth with long roots ..and it was a nightmare....I made an appointment and literally the day before I was scheduled to begin my treatment plan I got the worst toothache/absess of my life ..she brought me in early and stayed late to help me..no doctor nowadays is doing that ..once she started my treatment plan she knocked it out ..her staff is very pleasent. I really have nothing to complain about whatsoever....anyone with teeth issues knows what a feeling you have when it's over. Dr rifai has changed the quality of my life and the gratitude I have towards her is immeasurable....

The dentist and her staff are nothing short of amazing. I was an emotional wreck walking in their door, mostly bc of a past experiences, but also because of the shame I felt bc of how awful my teeth were. They were so SO patient with me and they made me feel welcomed. A dental plan was created and now I'm almost done! I can never thank you enough for all your kindness, your understanding and the amazing work that all of you do.

Dr Rifai and her whole team are very polite, professional, accommodating, and just overall nice. Dr Rifai is very knowledgeable in dentistry and is willing to answer all your questions and does not make you feel like a bother for doing asking. I highly recommend Dr Rifai and her team for all of your dental needs. I have had dental work done at other dentists before and I feel as though Dr Rifai takes pride in making sure she does the work properly but also quickly and with as little pain as possible. If you are looking for a new dentist look no further.

I have been to several dental facilities that have been nothing short of one disappointment after another. The dentist just looks at you and nods as if they are listening, but you can clearly see that their minds are somewhere far, far away. Then they just do whatever makes them the most money and you get to leave with an empty wallet and even more problems than you went in with. Then finally, one day, my boss recommended that I go see her dentist. I cannot tell you what a difference Dr. Rifai and her staff have made in my life! They are all exceptionally accommodating, knowledgeable, and kind! Dr. Rifai's level of professionalism is without a doubt, SECOND TO NONE! She is undoubtedly the top player in her field. She listens to your issue(s), then she and her staff formulate a solution tailored specifically for you, to get you back to your old self. What they do here is absolutely amazing! I actually love going to this place! Who ever says THAT about going to the dentist??!! I could go on and on about how great this place is, but don't take my word for it, go see for yourself! You won't be disappointed. Thanks for all of the good that you and your staff do Dr. Rifai!

I have been going to this dentist for years and can say it is the best place I have been! They are always compassionate, fair and willing to work with you. Susie has always worked with me in regards to paying my bill if I can't all at once. I moved over an hour away and still drive down to go to this place.

I love the staff and the Denist here. They are always so welcoming and make you feel comfortable. That's important because I've always had a huge fear of the Denist since I was child. This is the first place I've ever been to that makes me feel not stressed or scared when I sit in the chair. Thank you for all you do! I appreciate it.

Worst provider that should lose her license. They filled a supposedly cavity and according to the specialist, she started a root canal WITHOUT my consent. She didn't even tell me. To make matters worse, the staff refused to schedule me while invalidating me. And by invalidating I mean, I had a root canal done on tooth 14 and was in pain. I've had two root canals done prior, so I know what to expect and what not to. Both receptionists said I'm just sore. The one receptionist Susie, blamed me for not being on an antibiotic. Good thing the receptionists have a license to practice. Turns out, I had an abscess. I pray no one gets serious work done here. If you need to, go elsewhere. Not to mention, I've spent $3200 just to fix the damage the dentist had done. Go to someone who isn't shady and just trying to get money from insurance. The past 3 months, I've been in constant pain. According to my lawyer, 99.9% of dentists get away with malpractice. And yes, the dental boards have been made aware. I will no longer keep silent. In response to the dentist: take accountability. You will be featured in South Jersey Times. Karma. And the root canal was approved for a re treat. Since I WON the grievance against your failing office. So again, thanks for lying to your patients.
