Dr. Tonlaar received her Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences with honors from the University of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois. She is a proud Hawkeye and received her Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where she graduated with a distinction in Dental Public Health.

Called to get in with a broken tooth an scorching mouth pain due to the open gap in my mouth from a broken tooth. Can hardly eat or hardly think. An i also own and run my own business to as a trucker. All smiles receptionist would not help me at all or find away to get me in, as i was just on the phone with her she only told me what she wont do...

My first time back to any dentist since 2007. Personally I had a horrible experience after suffering an accident where I broke my jaw in 4 places. The surgeon that worked on me was short of horrible and I was in constant pain after plates put in and mouth wired shut for close to 3 month's. Fast forward to July 2021 where I needed to see somebody due to a cracked tooth and another broken one. My wife found "ALL SMILES" and an appointment was set. Apprehensive doesn't come close as to what I was feeling. After checking in the assistants were doing what they are trained to do, xrays - discussing what the game plan is, all the while easing my nervousness multiple times. Dr. Judith Tonlaar after introducing herself, also put me at ease and I believe she had to really work at it with me. She understood my feelings and listened to my experience. Just like all law enforcement is unjustly labeled poorly; it's the many who are great at their profession. Dentist's are the same way. Dr. Tonlaar helped me to get past that apprehension. A lot! She spent the time needed to take care of my teeth. One extraction and the other hopefully will be capped after root canal in a month. Yeah, I still bruised my wife's hand while holding it during this procedure. All the while Dr. Tonlaar reassuring me along with her great assistant. By the way, this particular assistant wanted to be a lawyer. I told her I'm thankful she chose to be in dentistry. She was terrific as well an chose the profession she was perfect for. Thank you "ALL SMILES" for your professionalism, your FANTASTIC bed side manner, the check in staff, and for helping me to be a believer again in great dentistry. Thank you again!

My temporary crown fell out twice and my permanent crown fell out once, got a filling and it feels like it's already bad, tried charging me over $2000 for a root canal when I was quoted $1200, charged me for another X-ray when I just had one done less than a year ago.

Have been going here for years, but there have been some recent staff changes. OK place, the only reason I'm writing three star review is I'm still in pain from having them cut my tongue from a procedure earlier today. And it really hurts.

I left another dentist office to come to all smiles. The customer service is much better. They are focused on your health more than just selling products. Very nice staff.

I definitely would recommend All Smiles. I had a toothache in my wisdom tooth and I'm also very scared to go to the dentist. Dr. Tonlarr was just amazing. She had to pull the tooth and I didn't even know it was out. Her Dental Hygienist, Brook was also very nice and did a great job as well. Both were very patient with me being scared and answering all my questions. I will be going back again, but I won't be scared this time.

Amazing staff, amazing dentist. Best dental procedure I have ever experienced. No pain and Dr.T and her staff were very patient and kind. Would recommend them to everyone.... When I wrote this review I was pleased with my care the first visit. After my second and third and fourth visit for my care was not great. I went in for my cleaning and the hygienist was very rough and seemed angry or frustrated. When cleaning with the water pick she scored all my teeth fairly deeply. Also when she gave me the shots for the fillings I was going to receive. She was rough and did not do it slowly so there was a lot of pain with the shot. And I stated that and I told her with no response from her. Then I sit for almost 2 hours and the shot was wearing off with still no sign of the dentist. I then had to reschedule because I had to return to work. When i went in for my next visit the dentist did two fillings and then let her assistant finish the last 2. Which were unfinished and very rough and sharp and I had to ask them to smooth them out. My fillings are still not even with my teeth and I have a hard time flossing. Each visit I paid what my insurance did not. With a zero balance when I left after each visit. Then only to later receive a bill from them for 220.48 part of which was for my husband who was only seen for xrays and consultation which our insurance covers. I had been trying to pay this bill since dec19th 2019 which either they were busy and never called me back each time I tried to pay it or they never answered. I got their answering service and they sent a messaged to them and they claimed they never got the message to call. Then only to have them shut down the clinic on dec 20th until jan 7th. So we called jan 7th finally was able to pay the remainder even though I'm not so sure I owed it. Spoke with heather, she assured us it was not sent to collections. Only to get a collection letter in the mail after I had paid in full. Then to call back and be lied to about how it was sent to collection. I am not ever going back my rating for this dentist office has definitely change.
