Dr. Ecker was born and raised in Miami, FL to Cuban immigrants. She moved to Boston, MA for her undergraduate education where she graduated from Boston College in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Economics. She then moved to New York City to obtain her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University where she met her husband. After completion of her doctorate in 2016, Dr. Ecker continued her training in New York City at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein School of Medicine, where she completed a four-year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2020. She received thorough training in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implantology, facial trauma, maxillofacial pathology, orthognathic surgery, and TMJ surgery. Dr. Ecker is licensed by the State of New York to provide general anesthesia, allowing her to offer intravenous and inhalational sedation to her patients.
Dr. Eckers clinical practice is focused on dentoalveolar surgery, dental implantology, bone grafting, maxillofacial pathology and facial trauma. She is board-eligible and is a member of several professional societies, including the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS), American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS), New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (NYSSOMS), and American Dental Association (ADA). She maintains current certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, eating, pampering her French Bulldog and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
