I was drawn to Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery when I saw before and after repair pictures of children with cleft lip and palate. I saw how these kids and their families were smiling from ear to ear and I knew I wanted to somehow be a part of a change like that. Dr. Dashow

I have been working with Dr. Dashow for about two years now and have had nothing but convenient and helpful experiences. Dr. Dashow and his lovely staff have always been very kind, helpful and communicative throughout this process. Always answering all of my million questions haha I love my new bite and was extremely satisfied with their care! :) I 100% would recommend this clinic to anyone looking into getting treated.

Waited over 3 months for an appointment for a minor procedure & they also called several times to change the dates. The day I finally went for my appointment they called to see if I could come earlier ( like right away) except I was already early so it worked out. After I was taken to a room I waited 40 minutes despite having been asked if I could come early. I finally stepped out of the room to ask how long it would be & they said there had been an emergency which I can understand but would have been nice if someone had mentioned it to me. My numbing stuff had long worn off & was redone. The Dr explained things ok & the employees are nice. I wish they had provided a sheet of information on what to expect at my pre-op appointment. I googled the procedure of course but it would have been nice coming from them . This was just my experience.

Dr. Dashow and his staff were outstanding in every way. Our daughter an oral surgery and things could not have gone better! The front desk staff were timely in all their communications and very welcoming to our daughter. Dr. Dashow and the clinical staff took great care in assuring our daughter "everything is going to be OK." Afterwords, Dr. Dashow and his staff were wonderful with our communications and readily available for any questions. Thanks could not have gone better! We are very appreciative of their professional talents and personal touch.

My son had all four of his wisdom teeth removed on a same day consultation and surgery. The Surgeon and staff were extremely professional and the surgery was over very quickly. They continued to follow up and check on him while he was healing. I will definitely return to this office for any future needs.

The Doctor is very knowledgeable and thorough. He spends a good amount of time with the patient, also helping the patient and Parents to understand the things that need to be done and is very calming with his explanations to the family as well as the patient. The Office staff were very nice and accommodating and professional. I highly recommend.

My visit to Alaska Oral & Craniofacial Surgery was a pleasant experience, any concern I had about Covid was cleared up when I witnessed there thorough Covid protocol. Dr. Dashow and his staff are very professional and knowledgeable, they displayed courtesy and kindness along with attention to details; when I asked questions about my X-Ray, the treatment plan and any needed follow up treatment with another provider, they had a plan and a back up plan. That made me feel confident that I was in capable hands. Dorothy

We got there extra early which admittedly was our own fault, but then they didn't even see us until an hour after our scheduled appointment time. Someone showed up late for their appointment and they still chose to see them first even though we had been waiting for over 45 mins. When we were finally seen the additional waiting for the doctor and getting X-rays took another hour. We were in the office for a total of 3 hours just for a consult. This was already frustrating, but afterwards they were suppose to send a referral to an imaging center for further consultation plus a copy of the X-rays they took to another dentist but no one has heard from them. Everyone seemed nice enough and knowledgeable, and maybe they were just having an off day, but it wasn't a great first impression to say the least.

It is one thing to have your wisdom teeth pulled at 15 and quite another when you are told you need to have them removed at 67. I had one side removed at 15 and it was a breeze...now I needed the other side removed at 67, needless to say I was apprehensive and concerned. That all changed when I had my consultation with Dr. Dashow and his staff. They answered all my questions and made me feel at ease. They were all professional, personal, and even had some humor thrown in that really made you feel that you had made the right choice. A week later I was in for the actual surgery. I had a little angst but as with the first time I was there, they really put me at ease. Dr. Dashow, Chrissy, Martina, Crystal and the rest of the staff were wonderful. The surgery was a breeze and my recovery was not much longer than when I was 15. I took some aspirins the first night and that was it. Dr. Dashow followed up and made sure everything was going well. I highly recommend if you need any oral surgery that Dr. Dashow should be your first choice! Sincerely, Jacquelin Venuta

I really liked my dentist! (Rare) The staff was very friendly and helpful. I was in and out a lot faster than expected with great results! I had very little pain after surgery. My stitches came out sooner than I expected and I am healing at a great rate.

The surgeon was excellent. Great bedside manner, comforting and reassuring. The office staff is something from the 1980s. Piles of paper everywhere, huge binders of who knows what they look up the prices in. Gives you the feeling they don't do this very often. (Wisdom teeth!) On top of that, one of them was late for work, and of course was the one supposed to be handling our payment, which we had to go over in front of total strangers in the waiting room. So much for the privacy act. Our son was a little slow to come out of the anesthesia which clearly annoyed the nurse. She insisted that he be moved from the dental chair even though he clearly was still sedated. They did not have proper staff to be doing so and thus was a bit dangerous. He was wheeled out a back door so people in the waiting room couldn't see this. She wheeled him out the front door into the snow and we had to load him into our car still unconscious. He was still unconscious when we got him home! We were not prepared for this experience. We only went here because they were the only oral surgery business that accepted ASD Aetna insurance. The same nurse told us we were lucky because they won't be accepting Aetna anymore next year! Again, the doctor was excellent! The rest of the experience has us all still somewhat traumatized.

I'm a difficult oral patient on a good day: I have difficulty opening wide and have a brisk gag reflex. Dr. Dashow and his staff did an excellent job in managing this when they extracted my tooth. I'm very appreciative.
