All About Smiles was designed to make your child feel safe and calm at any age. The reception area is designed with younger children in mind, where parents can observe their child playing with age appropriate toys. The loft is designed to accommodate older children with video games and movies.
All About Smiles offers a unique and beautiful environment where every attempt has been made to assure all who come through our door are comfortable from arrival to departure.This includes the very young child in a new environment, or the parent who may be anxious because of their own bad experiences as a child. We strive to make dentistry a stress free experience for all. Our reward is when our patients dont want to leave or they cant wait to come back.
While it is customary for a website biography to simply mention Dr Cottons affiliations with multiple dental associations, those relationships dont effectively explain how she came to be so devoted to her chosen career. Dr. Cotton has not experienced a conventional dental career. To date, this lifelong passion has traveled with her over 45 years in 7 states.
Her first academic milestone was a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Louisville; this was followed by nearly 20 years of experience as a registered hygienist in Kentucky, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Indiana. An avid thirst for knowledge eventually pulled her into post-graduate curriculum. She subsequently dedicated another four years of study to the University of Kentucky, and received her Doctor of Dental Medicine in the summer of 1993.
Doctor Cotton became a commissioned officer with the US Public Health Service while in dental school, and her first assignment as a lieutenant was in the heart of the Navajo Nation. During these early stages of a new career, she readily identified the most satisfying part of her job was tending to the diverse needs of children.
The USPHS selected her for advanced training, and in July of 1996, Dr. Cotton embarked on a two year pediatric residency at the Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Cotton receive her Masters Degree, Certificates in Pediatric Dentistry and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) while at Baylor.
After retirement from the USPHS, in 2008, Dr Cotton took on a new challenge and opened her pediatric practice in Gilbert, AZ. She has worked tirelessly to develop a practice that focuses on preventative dentistry rather than restorative treatment.
Dr Cotton recognizes that consistent examinations and highly-personalized discussions will ensure every individual can truly enjoy maintaining their oral health. It cannot be overstated how much each patient (and parent) benefits by an unparalleled amount of one-on-one time with her.
In her free time, Dr Cotton enjoys reading, gardening and relaxing in her hammock. She is most proud of her two children, Katherine a graduate from the University Of Kentucky College Of Dentistry (www.beitingdental.com); and John a graduate from the University of Arizona College of Architecture and Landscape. Her favorite past-time is of course, spending time with her 5 fantastic, fun, and busy grandchildren.

Stay away from this dentist! They are rude, unhelpful, and ridiculously overpriced. I brought my daughter in because she had a chip in her front tooth from a fall, they basically said there wasn't anything that they can do about it and that it would fall off on its own eventually- she's not even two. Plus their prices are insane. A simple cleaning shouldn't cost $309! As for little ones, they basically just brush their teeth with some fluoride. This was a completely useless visit and I will not be going back. Update: I called over 25 times to pay their ridiculous bill and despite being open, they didn't answer. Once they finally answered, they just put down the phone and put the phone on mute. Plus they sent a second bill in which they threatened to send my account to collections. I'll be reporting this business to the BBB.

It was an amazing experience and loved being back to see Dr. Cotton! Hadn't been back since the pandemic started and we are so grateful for all her work! We definitely recommend her and trust her with our babies!

Dr. Cotton is amazing! My 2 month old daughter had a lip and tongue tie and we went in to revise it. She was so kind, caring, and explained everything very thoroughly. I was very nervous about the process but her and her team put me at ease! Highly recommend!

Dr. Cotton and her whole staff are amazing. She saved our breastfeeding experience. She took the time to thoroughly explain everything about our newborn's lip and tongue tie. During the procedure to get it removed, her staff updated us frequently. It was such an amazing experience for something that was kinda scary for us as new parents. We saw immediate relief within the next day after the procedure and improvements in her feeding.

Doctor cotton was amazing! My 6 month old had lip and tongue tie that pediatricians never caught, I went for a revision at all about smiles and had such a great experience. My girl healed great and had little to no pain at all. Between doctor cotton, her assistants and her front desk girl everyone's been SO kind and helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great doctor for lip and tongue tie revision.

Dr. Cotton came highly recommended by my sister. We brought our twins in at 6 weeks old due to terrible lip and tongue tie. Dr. Cotton explained the procedure in great detail and ensured all of our questions were answered. The procedure itself went so fast! Our twins only fussed during the procedure and then we're completely fine afterwards. We are so grateful we found this office!! Dr. Cotton is amazing and so is all of her staff! Jenny was sweet enough to help me with my twins one time I had to bring them in by myself. I was so grateful she offered to help. It just goes to show how much they care about their patients. We will definitely be going to this office as long as we possibly can! We know our babies are in the best hands! Thank you for all you do!!

This is an awesome dentist! My 3 year old loves it so much he cried because it was Monday and he had to wait 3 more days until his appointment! And when he went, he kept talking to the ladies saying how tasty the toothpaste was! I love it as a parent because the dentist and technicians are very kind and obviously trained for children because they explain everything and are calm and quick. Dr Cotton is also extremely knowledgeable and helps with tongue ties etc. I'm very glad to have found this place for my kids!

My eleven year old had a cleaning done, then he shared with us an unpleasant experience he had with the hygienist. This person made him swallow his own fluoride rinse when my son asked if he could spit the rinse out because he felt like vomiting. The hygienist told him no and made him swallow it. After this visit he has been complaining about stomach pain for more than two days. I believe that my son was fluoride overdosed. Can someone share their experience with a child complaining after a cleaning visit?
