Dr. Maria Mndez was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After graduating from high school, she went on to attend college at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where she graduated Cum Laude in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Anthropology. She was on the Deans List and received the Elizabeth Cary Agassiz Award for academic excellence. Dr. Mndez furthered her education at the University of Puerto Rico, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude and received her dental degree in 1995.
Dr. Mndez then graduated from the University of Michigan, where she received her Masters degree in the specialty of Orthodontics. She started her career working as a general dentist in Michigan. In 2001, Dr. Mndez began working as an orthodontist in Central Florida. In 2008, she started her own orthodontic practice in Orlando, All About Smiles. Dr. Mndez is married to Dr. Arturo Ydrach, an oral surgeon at Oral and Facial Surgery Center. Together they have two wonderful boys and enjoy spending time as a family.
About Leasing: Leasing has been in the dental field for over 20 years. She is a doting mother of two children she is very proud of. In her off time, she participates in voluntary work in the community by helping non-English speaking people arm and live by Bible principals. When she is not at work, she enjoys exercising, gardening, hiking, crafting, and DIY projects with her family.
Aira was born in Stamford, CT and moved to Florida in 2010. She earned her Expanded Functions in dental assisting in 2016. She has worked with Dr. Mara Mndez for 2 years and has found her love for orthodontics. She loves spending her free time with her 7-month-old daughter Kaleah Rose. When Aira is not on mommy duty, she loves watching action movies, ATV off-roading and sunset beach days.
