Since 1995, Dr. Pamela L. Sands has been providing children with exceptional comprehensive dental care. She attended the State University of New York at Albany to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and the State University of New York at Stony Brook, School of Dental Medicine to obtain her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After graduating, Dr. Sands completed a Pediatric Dental Residency, participating as Chief Resident at the Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY.
Dr. Sands feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of dentistry. Thus, she maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Dental Society of the State of New York, and the Nassau County Dental Society.

Dr. Sands is the best. My three year old loves her and everyone there. They are so sweet and make her dentist visit relaxing and fun. Wouldn't take her anywhere else.

Hygienist and Dentist were both extra great at putting my 6 year old daughter at ease. My daughter remembered the assignment to avoid chewy snacks from last time and is a great independent brusher, thanks to the motivation she gets from the dentist's office. The office is run very smoothly and is immaculately clean. Fun waiting room too. Front desk staff is super personable and lovely. We're very happy. *Edit Hygienist and Dentist we both amazing with my Autistic 3.5 year old. He was happy nearly the whole time, but when he gave a little resistance they knew just what to do to get the job done without a meltdown. We we were done he happily returned to the waiting room toys. We are very satisfied with our experience.

This office is AMAZING! Both my sons go there and love it, and one of them are in the terrible 2 stage haha. Truly the best pediatric dentist around. They make everything pleasant from the moment you come in and my children look forward to going to the dentist. Love the staff and Dr. Sands BEST Dentist office around!!!

Dr Sands goes above and beyond for her patients! She connects so well with the children and knows how to engage them during their visits so they are comfortable and have a positive dental experience. Our 9, 7 and 3 year olds have varying needs and she is able to pivot to address each of them with respect and compassion. During procedures Dr Sands is able to maintain quality of care by using unique ways to calm her patient. This has been so valuable to our family. Her support staff and waiting room are also fantastic, making it a place where we all feel welcome. We truly hit the jackpot with this practice and are staying for the long term. Super friendly place! Everyone was very accommodating and made my little girl feel so welcomed on her first trip to the dentist. She also left with so many goodies which was a happy distraction. Thanks for a great experience!

Dr. Sands, her office and staff were amazing! They were extremely helpful and attentive when I had a dental emergency with my 2 yr old. Dr. Sands was comforting and took her time. I would highly recommend Dr. Sands to anyone!

Dr. Sands is a gift to pediatric dentistry. I call her the Tooth Whisperer. We first came to her office 5 years ago. At the time, my 4 year old needed a tooth removed and my dentist refused to treat him. Let's just say, my son wouldn't exactly stay in the chair! Dr. Sands welcomed my son with open arms. I don't know how she got him to sit in that chair, but she did. From the waiting room I could hear her singing to him, trying to calm him down. Her patience with children is beyond what words could explain. You truly have to see it to understand. And it doesn't stop at Dr. Sands. The entire staff, from the receptionists to the hygienists are so kind and patient! We love the staff and Dr Sands! This is by far the best pediatric dental office around!
