Dr. Elmi grew up in Burnsville, Minnesota. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of North Dakota graduating with Sum Cum Laude honors. She was then selected for a prestigious internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
While volunteering in her community, Dr. Elmi had the opportunity to shadow at various community dental clinics. Through these experiences she found her passion for dentistry. Thereafter, Dr. Elmi studied at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry and earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery. After graduating from dental school, she completed residency in general practice dentistry at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry.
Dr. Elmi was awarded the endodontic achievement award from University of Oklahoma. She is a member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Minnesota Dental Association, and Somali Dental Association.
To ensure exceptional dental care, she took the next step in her career to start her own practice. With ownership comes great responsibilities and Dr. Elmi will ensure each of her patients receive quality comprehensive dental care. Her philosophy is to treat all of her patients as she would her own family.

Terrible experience, removed all my teeth and won't give me my dentures. I'm under weight, malnourished and depressed. They never answer their phone and take 2-3 weeks to call you back. Don't go here. There are so many more options.

At my first visit, I experienced friendly, respectful and intelligent staff, including Dr.Elmi, who was very attentive. I did not have a long wait time and the dentist took the x-rays & performed my cleaning & of course my exam. There was a strong fragrance in the building which permeated my hair and clothing, even after I left. I acknowledge I have a sensitive nose; currently this is the only thing I would change.
