Dr. Mershon was born and raised in Colorado. He attended both Arvada West and Arvada high schools. He moved to New Orleans to attend Loyola University, where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry.
After earning those degrees, he returned to his beloved state of Colorado where he began working in the dental field. He worked at Colorados largest full-service dental laboratory, where he quickly learned vital skills such as crown, bridge, denture, and implant fabrication.
Growing up the son of a carpenter meant that Dr. Mershon was taught very early on how to fix just about anything, and these skills proved to be extremely valuable in the dental laboratory. During his time there, he realized the dental field was his true passion.
To further his dental experience before applying to dental school, he began working as an orthodontic assistant for Dr. Hilary Baskin. After being accepted in Marquette Universitys School of Dentistry, Dr. Mershon moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for his postgraduate, doctoral education. After earning his Doctorate in Dental Surgery and Sciences, he was accepted into Marquette Universitys orthodontic program. He eagerly moved back to Denver after completion of the orthodontic program to rejoin Dr. Baskin in 2007.
Dr. Mershon holds memberships in many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, Colorado Dental Association, Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, and Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists. He enjoys sharing his vast knowledge of orthodontics, so he has lectured to dental students, high school students, and children in the public schools.
He has also been interviewed for numerous newspaper articles such as in Colorado Parent Magazine as a dental expert. He also has a passion for treating patients with developmental disabilities and sensory issues.
A father of a blended family with eight amazing children, Dr. Mershon spends most of his out-of-office time helping with homework, attending kids sporting events, and traveling with his wife, Kristal, and their kids. He enjoys basketball, golf, football, camping, and hiking, and is particularly fond of any professional team from the Denver area!

Importantly, the board provides certification to qualifying orthodontists based on a series of tests and evaluations. Certification takes between five and ten years to achieve, and board-certified orthodontists have to get recertified every ten years to keep the designation. About one out of every three orthodontists has achieved this distinction.

My experience with All About Braces Lakewood has been absolutely FANTASTIC!! The team is super awesome and very informational in many ways. The doctors as well are very patient, helpful and really sweet.Everyone is always so happy and brings such light to the environment. It truly feels like family here!!!

I have been going back and forth since November of last year with the supposed manager named claudia for a refund for something I didn't want, I went in for an Aligner they charged me 100$ for a retainer I later found out and sat me down, one of the aids came and checked my mouth out but she didnt even know the purpose I was there for found it strange she would do that without knowing anything beforehand. It has now been 7 months, they had my wrong address they claimed so we've corrected this she said they would arrive in a week yet here we are months later very incompetent to say the least. Had even went to the bank to try and resolve but since they claim that they DID send it nothing can really be done at that point ridiclous that I have to jump through all these hoops to fix a mistake that I myself didn't cause. Last call they said they made a note...

Highly recommend All About Braces. I love a few things about this location. First of all the staff is great and super friendly! (Especially Alexa, Claudia and Paulina they're super nice) It feels good to be comfortable and feel welcomed. I love how this place always smells good and looks clean. Also the dental assistant's in the back are always super careful with your teeth. They make sure they're not hurting you while changing wires or fixing brackets. They also ask which color you'd like each visit which is pretty cool. And they most definitely ask you if you have any pokey wires before you leave which is very nice of them because pokey wires are pretty annoying and painful sometimes. Okay last but not least I love how they give you wax and chapstick after each visit. Very thoughtful of them. 100% Recommended

Great service and staff! As an adult I would NOT recommend choosing this place for Invisalign, they are charging $1500 more then comfort dental which is just as nice and accepts Medicaid!

I remember our first appointment abby was nervous and scared just cause who doesn't get nervous when your about to get braces. Even as a mom i was nervous about all my questions i had but the staff there is so excellent and patient they made us feel comfortable at ease answered all of our questions. Love this place! My daughter had her braces done here and about halfway through I decided to do mine too! I was scared until I came into a few appointments with her. Everyone is so warm and welcoming. My daughter's teeth look beautiful and mine are coming along nicely!
