Dr. Mershon was born and raised in Colorado. He attended both Arvada West and Arvada high schools. He moved to New Orleans to attend Loyola University, where he majored in biology and minored in chemistry.
After earning those degrees, he returned to his beloved state of Colorado where he began working in the dental field. He worked at Colorados largest full-service dental laboratory, where he quickly learned vital skills such as crown, bridge, denture, and implant fabrication.
Growing up the son of a carpenter meant that Dr. Mershon was taught very early on how to fix just about anything, and these skills proved to be extremely valuable in the dental laboratory. During his time there, he realized the dental field was his true passion.
To further his dental experience before applying to dental school, he began working as an orthodontic assistant for Dr. Hilary Baskin. After being accepted in Marquette Universitys School of Dentistry, Dr. Mershon moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin for his postgraduate, doctoral education. After earning his Doctorate in Dental Surgery and Sciences, he was accepted into Marquette Universitys orthodontic program. He eagerly moved back to Denver after completion of the orthodontic program to rejoin Dr. Baskin in 2007.
Dr. Mershon holds memberships in many professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, World Federation of Orthodontists, Colorado Dental Association, Metropolitan Denver Dental Society, and Rocky Mountain Society of Orthodontists. He enjoys sharing his vast knowledge of orthodontics, so he has lectured to dental students, high school students, and children in the public schools.
He has also been interviewed for numerous newspaper articles such as in Colorado Parent Magazine as a dental expert. He also has a passion for treating patients with developmental disabilities and sensory issues.
A father of a blended family with eight amazing children, Dr. Mershon spends most of his out-of-office time helping with homework, attending kids sporting events, and traveling with his wife, Kristal, and their kids. He enjoys basketball, golf, football, camping, and hiking, and is particularly fond of any professional team from the Denver area!

I have had very low self esteem due to crooked teeth. All about braces was super affordable and the team is AWESOME they know me as soon as I walk-in. They have helped me through any other dental needs I'm going through. My smile is beautiful now and I will be bringing my daughter to receive the same professional treatment. LOVE ALL ABOUT BRACES!!!!!

Great experience. We just moved into the local area and our son had started his orthodontia journey in a different state. Dr Lachica listened to all my concerns and was very honest about my sons current orthodontia standing, as well as addressed all my concerns so we could make an informed decision for what was best for him and our family. I never once felt like my child's best interest weren't at the heart of Dr. Lachica's decisions, where most dentist/orthodontia businesses leave me guessing. The rest of the staff, Maria and Vanessa, were also fantastic with my son and all my questions, as well as the front desk. So pleased with All About Braces, highly recommend to anyone needing an orthodontist!

I can say nothing bad about this place or the wonderful team they have. I have a completely different smile than when I came, I was told I would need treatment for 16 months, and here I am 8 months in, and done!!! from the front desk staff to the doc I love them and appreciate the job they have done. I would do it all again pain and all!!!!!!!

I had the worst experience with the female doctor. My little sister has to come here and I don't recommend her coming. The female doctor has no customer service and she's rude. Update: I appreciate the owner reaching out to my mom to fix the issue. She was extremely nice and generous.

My family and I Love this place. They treated my oldest daughter and has had her braces off for a couple months, her teeth look AMAZING!!! Now my middle child is in braces from here.. All the Doctors have been super nice, accommodating and straight to the point. The receptioists Norma and Karla are super sweet and always help and Vanessa with the blue hair in the clinic is fast and kind and takes amazing care of my family.

The new female doctor that they have is completely inexperienced. The other nurses tell her what to do As if they run the facility. My daughter now hates coming to this place because she always complains how rude and mean this doctor is. We've been here for three years and the previous male doctor was wonderful with kids never had an issue. She is a terrible doctor I do not know why they hired her but she's in the wrong business. Most orthodontist tell their workers how to adjust the child treatment and needs. But now the workers tell her what to do. The appointments last over an hour and did I say she was rude.
