Children's Dentistry in Aptos was founded by Dr. Stephen Fehrman over 50 years ago.Dr. Alison Jackson purchased the practice in 2004 and has continued the tradition of practicing sound fundamental dentistry and outstanding patient care. She works hard to support a new generation of healthy children and bright smiles in Santa Cruz County.
Dr. Jackson began practicing pediatric dentistry in 2000 and moved to her current office in 2003. She earned her DDS from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco and completed her specialty training in pediatrics at UCLA where she was chief resident. Dr. Jackson is aDiplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She emphasizes preventive dentistry and patient education as the most important methods for preventing dental disease and has found a perfect fit for this philosophy here in Aptos.
Dr. Jackson has extensive experience in all phases of Pediatric Dentistry. She is a guest lecturer at UCLA where she discusses women in dentistry, practice management and other issues unique to pediatric practices. She has served on the board of directors for the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry and for the Monterey Bay Dental Society. In 2009, Dr. Jackson received the distinguished honor of being named Dentist of the Year by the Monterey Bay Dental Society. In 2013, '14 and '16, Dr. Jackson won the Santa Cruz Sentinal Reader's Choice Award for Best Dentist. She brings both professional experience and compassion to her practice.

My 8yo has been seeing Dr. Jackson and her amazing team since he was 2! They have always put him at ease and that is NOT easy to do. They answer all of his questions, pause if he asks them to, and are just overall so patient and accommodating for my anxious little guy. We especially love getting to visit with Stephanie who works up front and also answers all of my emails when I can't get to a phone during the workday. And Astra!! All of the hygienists are amazing, but Astra really takes the cake. She goes the extra mile to make us calm and comfortable. We will absolutely keep seeing Dr. Jackson until we age out!

Dr. Jackson has been our dentist for many years. She and her staff are incredible and I can't imagine working with anyone else. My older son is Autistic and has many sensory issues, and they meet him where he's at and help him get comfortable each and every appointment. As I tell everyone "Dr. Jackson is the best dentist in Santa Cruz County!".

Assistants and Dentist are efficient and kind. Office is clean. Also my child and I were greeted with care. Visits are thorough but quick-all my question and concerns are always answered.

Hands down the most efficient, kid-friendly dentist in town. We had to take a small break from them due to an insurance change, but came swiftly running back after they helped us work through the hiccup. We love this crew to the moon and back!
