Cindee was born and raised in Orange County, CA. Wanting to make a difference in peoples lives, Cindee traded her 17-year career as an escrow officer, graduated college, and now holds her license as a Registered Dental Assistant. Cindee has been with Aliso Smiles since 2012. She has a great rapport with patients, treating people with compassion and humor. Cindee is driven by her love and care for people. She strives to build long lasting relationships, make patients feel comfortable, educate, and help create beautiful smiles. Cindee enjoys the beach, traveling and spending quality time with her two grown daughters.
Bridget first realized she had a passion for dentistry at an occupational program she took in high school for dental assisting. After completion of her assisting program Bridget worked front office for a general practice while she applied to colleges with a dental hygiene program. Upon admission into West Coast University Bridget transitioned to back office assisting for a periodontist to try to stay sharp on her chair side manner while she finished school. Bridget worked as a dental assistant while she completed her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Dentistry has always been her passion and main focus from a young age. She truly enjoys caring for and educating patients on ways to improve and achieve optimal oral health.
Meet our newest team member, David! David brings with him 15 years of experience in the dental field. David has been working in the capacity of Registered Dental Assistant with his certificate of completion in extended functions since 2007. During Davids youth he trained to be a race car pilot and later decided to trade in his superior driving skills for his superior dental skills! David grew up in Mexico City and moved to Seal Beach, Ca. in 2010. He takes pride in his ability to treat his patients as if they were family and truly cares about every single smile! In his free time, David enjoys traveling, working out and volunteering.
Gum disease is one of the leading causes of tooth loss. Gum disease has two primary stages. If diagnosed and treated in the first stage, the condition can be reversed and tooth loss can usually be prevented. In order to prevent gum disease,practice good oral hygiene and visit your dentist for cleanings and check-ups twice a year.
This stage only affects the soft tissue of the gums, and the patient may not experience any discomfort. Although the symptoms may be very mild, it is important to diagnose gum disease in this early stage before it progresses to periodontitis.
Periodontitis is the name for more advanced periodontal disease and if permitted to progress to this point, not only the gums are affected but the bone structures supporting the teeth will be compromised.
A build-up of bacteria causes Gingivitis. In its early stages, inflammation around the gums is observable, with gum tissues appearing red and swollen. Gums that are easily irritated or that bleed during tooth brushing indicate the presence of Gingivitis. Removal of the plaque buildup is necessary to prevent the development of gum disease.
As the gums become more inflamed, they start to pull away from the teeth, forming spaces known as periodontal pockets. Food, bacteria, and plaque begin to collect in the pockets, leading to infection. The surrounding bone becomes damaged both by bacterial toxins and by the immune systemsresponse to infection.
Dr. Chong is one of a few dual Ivy League Trained Endodontists in the state of California. He attended the University of Pennsylvania for his dental studies where he earned his DMD with Honors. Dr. Chong earned his Masters in Medical Science and certificate in Endodontics at the prestigious Harvard University.

Dr Patel is the only dentist I will be going to from now on. His knowledge and passion for his patients is evident with every interaction. Taking the time to not only explain the what and the why of my treatment and after care, but showing and explaining the current state of my mouth in many different formats, something I've never had before. Once you've been to some of the worst dentists in Southern California it is easy to know when you you've found one of the best. Dr. Patel is the best!

The best dentist ever!!! Dr Patel is so patient with my husband's crazy work schedule, my kids away at college and having to schedule them on their breaks and of course, being available with any question or emergency that needs consultation. We have been with Aliso Smiles for close to ten years and it is because not only is Dr Patel wonderful but the office staff is friendly and smart. They are quick to help us with insurance questions, scheduling and just fun to chit chat with. They are an outstanding dental office...I really can't say enough if how much we love Aliso Smiles!

I've been seeing Dr. Patel here for almost two years now and love the service I receive from him and his entire staff! From the receptionist to the dental hygienists, everyone is warm, friendly and efficient. I used to have a lot of dental anxiety, but I don't have that problem here. I will be staying with them for my dental needs :)

Dr. Patel is just wonderful. The whole staff goes out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and Cindee at the front desk is such a gem and makes the experience fun with her friendliness. Dr. Patel is very honest and only does necessary work. They will not try to talk you into anything you don't need, which is such a rare find in a dentist.

Absolutely loved both doctors! Both took their time answering all my questions on my first consultation for implants. I had a page full of questions and they didn't miss one question. This office was my third consultation and I left knowing this is the place I'm going to proceed with my implants. The way they broke down everything step by step took off so much pressure and stress of the unknown. Very professional and made me feel so comfortable in an uncomfortable situation of a not being able to smile. Thank you so much Aliso smiles!

High quality service. I recently went for a cleaning and the receptionist was extremely nice and attentive. The dentist who did the cleaning was also extremely nice and made my experience much more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a dentist.

This is the first dental office I've visited ever since I've moved to Orange County and I'll continue going there from here on out! Dr. Patel is very polite and thorough. He went over multiple tips and provided options rather than upselling me with other unnecessary procedures. Cindee at the front desk is very welcoming and has an awesome sense of humor that is very like-able. She was very easy to work with made it extremely easy to build rapport with! Then lastly, the ridiculously cute Dental Assistant that helped clean my teeth was really attentive and sincere. (Too bad I forgot her name). Again, similar to Dr. Patel, she did not attempt to encourage me to proceed with unnecessary procedures. Rather, she provided her professional opinion and gave me the opportunity to select which route I'd like to move forward with. Overall, everyone was polite and professional. I'd absolutely recommend this place!

My family and I have been coming to this Dentistry for about a decade or more. Dr. Patel and the staff here are so sweet! They have worked on myself, husband, and two boys now 10 and 12. They are always friendly and communicative! I would definitely recommend this Dentistry!
