Dr. Kuhta attended the University of Pennsylvanias School of Dental Medicine, a program currently ranked the best dental school in the country. While there, she had the opportunity to compete for a scholarship to obtain a dual degree for a Masters in Higher Education and a Doctorate of Dental Medicine, both of which she completed in four years. Not only did Dr. Kuhta graduate with highest academic honors, she was selected to treat patients in the Advanced Clinical Honors department.
The field of orthodontics is the perfect combination of art and science, allowing Dr. Kuhta to utilize skills in both science and art to benefit patients. Upon graduating from Penn, she moved to Boston to attend the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine for a two-year residency in orthodontics. Fortunately, when it came time to graduate, her childhood orthodontist, Dr. Roy McAnnally, was ready to bring on an associate, and she was able to move back to Michigan to practice.
Dr. Kuhta is married to her dental school crush, Dr. Chad Speirs, and they are raising three little boys on their family farm. In her free time Dr. Kuhta loves to spend time outside, trail running, and chasing around whichever chicken, or kid,gets loose. She is focused on holistic health and wellness, bringing that passion into her orthodontic practice.

Absolutely love this office, they are kind, efficient, and open to any concerns or challenges with children. Both of my daughters are patients, 7 and 9, both have expanders to help fit their adult teeth coming in. How I wish I would have started sooner with my eldest but we are getting amazing results and couldn't be happier!

Dr. Kuhta is years beyond generic dentistry in that she practices optimal orthodontics- leagues above industry standard of care. For our specific needs, she was able to identify my daughters's sleep disordered breathing as a major contributing factor to her facial development and overall cognitive, speech, and feeding delays since birth. My daughter is now 8.5 years old. Her approach is revolutionary in the fourth wave of medicine as connecting signs/ symptoms to overall systemic health and then clearly identifying the solutions through her treatment modalities. We love this office! Dr. Kuhta and her team are just the kindest and most authentic. We came here for a second opinion for my daughters severe overbite and jaw-- Dr. Kuhta took so much time with us and came up with a plan we all feel so great about that will address her issues in a complete way. Plus, the office space is super cute, clean, and there's an espresso machine for parents!

Love the staff and atmosphere here. It's very inviting and relaxing. My kids felt comfortable and respected. Dr. Kuhta is a wonderful person and obviously caring and compassionate toward every person who walks through the door. Her knowledge surpasses other orthodontists we have been to and she's involved in the community and we're happy to have her. We drive far to see her because I wouldn't trust anyone else. Had a consultation with Dr. Kuhta for orthodontic care and couldn't be more impressed.
