Dr. Jiafeng Gu is the orthodontic specialist in Align Beauty Orthodontics in Dublin, OH. He attended Fudan University in Shanghai, China for undergraduate study for medicine. Then he earned his Ph.D. degree in molecular biology from University of Southern California.
He went on to attend Columbia University in New York for his DDS degree where he graduated with honor. He then finished three-year orthodontic residency training in The Ohio State University, during which his research on the treatment effectiveness and efficiency of the Invisalign system was published in the renowned American Journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics. In the meantime, he applied for a patent on smart adhesive material in orthodontics. After his residency, Dr. Gu passed rigorous board examinations, and became a Board Certified Orthodontist by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). According to ABO, of all the orthodontists, only about 1/3 are board certified.
Dr. Gu served as oral session chair at 2011 IADR general session in San Diego. He has published more than 10 high-impacted scientific articles and presented at multiple conferences. For all those years of practice, Dr. Gu demonstrated his commitment to providing patients with beautiful and confident smiles with state of art techniques. My daughter had her phase 1 braces in the past year. We had an extremely great experience with Align Beauty and Dr. Gu. It started with a very comprehensive consultation. Dr. Gu discussed the treatment options and helped us well-understand the whole process in details. The treatment lasted for 12 months. My daughter and I really enjoyed every visit to Align Beauty. The office is spacious, clean and cozy. Staffs are nice and friendly. Dr. Gu is easy-going and gets along extremely well with my daughter. They are keen on the patient's experience, and offer help whenever possible. There were a few times my daughter's braces shifted. Dr. Gu always set up an appt the earliest time possible, and fixes the issue ASAP. My daughter had her braces removed recently, and now she's on retainer. We are so happy with the end result. So glad to see her pretty smile, and will absolutely pick Align Beauty for future needs.

Had Invisalign through Dr Gu and was a great experience. Initial visit everything was explained clearly from options as well as the cost. Each visit was also very quick in and out, never once had to wait for anything. Would recommend Dr Gu to anyone.

Dr.Gu and his entire team did a really great job and made my experience fantastic. As an over 35 year old with some dental anxiety they were very patient and gentle explaining the process to me every step of the way. Very quick yo contact me back if I had any questions or concerns. Also they were able to work with my difficult work schedule! With all of Dr. Gu's professional experience I had no doubt my teeth would look great and the process would be done correctly. Had an overall really positive experience. Very courteous and friendly staff. What impressed me the most is how quickly I was able to get in when minor issues came up. I even got an email response on a Sunday, which really surprised me. And, most importantly, I am satisfied with the end result of my treatment, which was completed 3 month earlier than estimated (another nice surprise). I would highly recommend Align Beauty.
