Dr. Caronna was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana, and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2007.
Following Dental School, Dr. Caronna continued his dental studies, completing a twelve month General Practice Residency at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. The residency focused on treating medically and physically compromised patients and receiving further training in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine and Oral Surgery. Dr. Caronna then practiced general dentistry at the Veterans Health Administration in Johnson City, Tennessee. Afterward, he enrolled in the Endodontic Specialty Program at the LSU School of Dentistry. The 27-month specialty program which focuses on non-surgical and surgical microscopic root canal therapy.
Dr. Caronna is a member of both the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists. He became board certified in 2016. One of only twelveboard certified Endodontists in the state of Louisiana.
Alexandria Endodontics is led by endodontic specialist Dr. Daniel Lester, who has not only completed a two-year residency in endodontics but is also one of only twelveboard certified Endodontists in the State of Louisiana. We provide quality care to all of our patients in a welcoming and compassionate environment. We offer state of the art treatment with modern dental technology such as digital x-rays, dental microscopes, and cone beam computed tomography.
We understand that many people are anxious about going to the dentist. To help you feel more comfortable, Alexandria Endodontics now offers nitrous oxide, pre-medication with anti-anxiety medicines as well as IV sedation administered by our board certified registered nurse anesthetist.
Our doctorshaveperformed thousands of root canal treatments, comfortably and at the highest level. They continuously striveto both learn and educate within the dental community. Theybelongto and lectureat dental study clubs, and attendmultiple continuing education events every year to stay up to date with any changes in the field of dentistry.

Terrible, Terrible staff and so called office manager, Teresa nasty nasty beast!! Very rude, discourteous, and unprofessional!! Not to mention the subpar dental work. This office has been reported numerous times for their incompetence. They have friends and family to write fake reviews praising their services when they do horrible work. Don't go to this place if you want to be in pain and spend a lot of money. They should be closed down!

This was the BEST dental experience I have ever had. The root canal I had done on a very complicated tooth (curve root in the sinus) was PAINLESS. The staff were so nice and fun they really put me at ease. Dr Caronna is great. Hands down one of the best, most skilled dentists. I thought it was also really nice that they gave me a soup after ( it was potato and delicious)

Omg, I cannot say enough good things about Alexandria Endodontics. From my first phone call to the finalization of my Root Canal, the service was so friendly and professional. Megan, the front office person that took my call, could obviously hear the distress in my voice. I called on Thursday ..... Hurricane Delta was coming and their office would be closed on Friday. Somehow she got me in that day to see Dr Caronna. Saved me from having to wait, in pain, till the following Tuesday to see my General Dentist. Dr Caronna, along with his tech/assistant, quickly found my problem and scheduled an apt to take care of my pain later the same day. The procedure was preformed and I was sent home with appropriate meds and soup. One week later, I went back to finalize everything and again the Alex Endo team was just as AWESOME as before. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE!!!!!

I was absolutely blown away by the bedside manner and customer service. As painful and stressful as the procedure was, I left their office not only feeling confident that it was done correctly, but also like a person that was genuinely cared for....oh, and did I mention the soup that they give you after the procedure?? Thank you so much Alexandria Endodontics for making this scary procedure more than just tolerable. Minus the expected pain, it was a pleasant experience and I highly recommend them!

I went in for a root canal yesterday and it was not as scary as everyone said it would be -- I'm feeling very minimal pain and the procedure went perfectly. The staff was so friendly and caring, and they even gave me soup to take home to eat. I'm very happy my local dentist office sent me a referral here! Also, forgot to mention you get to listen to your music of choice while having your procedure done! Highly recommend!

The staff have stupendous attitudes and professionalism! Had a root canal done by Dr. Caronna, he and the nurse were amazing and had knew how to have a few laughs. They talked to me and continuously checked to see if I needed anything and set me at complete ease. Dr. Dan soup!!! That was icing on all the feel goods!! Soup (tomato basil was mine) has a full flavor and hearty taste, perfect for when the numbness wears off and one can barely open their sore jaws!! Thank you all for the amazing experience and restoring my faith in legit good dentist who care about their patients! I'll definitely come to y'all first with any more problems!!
