Dr. Caronna was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans, Louisiana, and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2007.

Following Dental School, Dr. Caronna continued his dental studies, completing a twelve month General Practice Residency at the Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. The residency focused on treating medically and physically compromised patients and receiving further training in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine and Oral Surgery. Dr. Caronna then practiced general dentistry at the Veterans Health Administration in Johnson City, Tennessee. Afterward, he enrolled in the Endodontic Specialty Program at the LSU School of Dentistry. The 27-month specialty program which focuses on non-surgical and surgical microscopic root canal therapy.

Dr. Caronna is a member of both the American Dental Association and the American Association of Endodontists. He became board certified in 2016. One of only twelveboard certified Endodontists in the state of Louisiana.

Alexandria Endodontics is led by endodontic specialist Dr. Daniel Lester, who has not only completed a two-year residency in endodontics but is also one of only twelveboard certified Endodontists in the State of Louisiana. We provide quality care to all of our patients in a welcoming and compassionate environment. We offer state of the art treatment with modern dental technology such as digital x-rays, dental microscopes, and cone beam computed tomography.

We understand that many people are anxious about going to the dentist. To help you feel more comfortable, Alexandria Endodontics now offers nitrous oxide, pre-medication with anti-anxiety medicines as well as IV sedation administered by our board certified registered nurse anesthetist.

Our doctorshaveperformed thousands of root canal treatments, comfortably and at the highest level. They continuously striveto both learn and educate within the dental community. Theybelongto and lectureat dental study clubs, and attendmultiple continuing education events every year to stay up to date with any changes in the field of dentistry.
