Dr. Dean R Anderson is Dean the dentist. From the time he was a junior in high school he knew that the attention to meticulous detail and the chance to help people made dentistry his perfect lifes work. Today, along with the detail and the people contact he loves to apply new ideas and technology to serve his patients. There are so many new things to offer in terms of a great dental experience; there are durable beautiful new materials, improved techniques and better health science behind it all. With the wealth of experience gained in his 38 plus years of practice he is fully qualified to evaluate fresh ideas and new technologies and to select and offer the best of the best to his patients. He was first to offer Invisalign orthodontics in central Minnesota in 2001, And first in 1996 to convert to low dose digital x-rays, more comfortable local anesthetic, newer functional orthodontic appliances, and computerized health records. Most exciting is that Dr. Anderson has offered the Solea laser since 2018 for NO shots, No drill, No numbness, No pain LASER fillings. Thats right, Dean the dentist now does 90% of fillings without picking up a needle or a drill, and people love it.
In addition to his dental practice, Dr. Anderson enjoys painting, gadgets, sailing, travel, and his wife and their family of 4 married children and 9 grandchildren. He has served on the Alexandria School Board for over 30 years where he also exercises his growth mindset and bent toward lifelong learning.

When you enter Dean R. Anderson Dentistry, you are greeted by a friendly receptionist. The waiting room is comfortable and tastefully decorated, although you are not there for very long. The entire staff is prompt, personable, and professional. You are given advice and information on procedures you may need, but ultimately the decision is up to you. Dr. Anderson has state of the art equipment and is very skilled in every aspect of dentistry. When my three children and I moved to Alexandria thirty years ago, Dr. Anderson came highly recommended. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. They make a concerted effort to find an appointment time that works best for you. The caregivers explain everything they're going to do before they do it so you don't feel like a lab rat. And their prices are the best in Alexandria. I drive over from South Dakota just to go to the dentist here.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Anderson for close to 15 years. My three children have no fear of going to the dentist thanks to Dr. Anderson and Hygienist Becky's caring and gentle dentistry. Two of my children also had orthodontics completed by Dr Anderson making their smiles straighter and brighter. The state of the art dentistry and orthodontic practices Dr Anderson and his staff use have provided my family with comfortable experiences and exceptional care.

Very very pleased with all the great work from everyone here. The Dr and staff are exceptionally polite and keep you informed of scheduling interruptions so you're not unnecessarily waiting in the lobby for your appointment to start.

Our daughter was there recently for the first time, she truly loved it! She said everyone was very polite and attentive to her needs. She really enjoyed being able to watch her favorite show(Dance Moms) during her appointment!! She was also very excited to have Lindsey as her assistant(family friend). She said she is excited to go back! Thank you all, especially Dr. Dean for taking excellent care of our girl!!

We became clients of Dr. Dean Anderson because we genuinely liked and respected him as a person. Little did we know that we would find him and his staff so professionally knowledgable, always using the latest in dental technology, with an office atmosphere that is genuinely happy, friendly and welcoming. After relying on Dr. Dean R. Anderson Dentistry for more than 10 years, we highly recommend it to adults and children of all ages. Very nice office with a welcoming staff. Scheduling was very easy with calendar updates and text reminders. Dr Anderson takes pride in his work and it shows.

Our family were patients of Dr Anderson 25 years ago. We moved out state and recently moved back. We immediately knew we wanted to return to his dental practice! The office staff is wonderful and we are always meant with a smile. Those working with Dr Anderson are professional and are great at explaining what they doing and what needs to be done. We have 5 special needs children that Dr Anderson and his staff have graciously guided their exams and calmed their anxiety!
