Ericka has worked in the dental field since 2008. She smiles a lot at work because she enjoys being an assistant; being able to help the doctor and the patients. She is from the Philippines and one of her favorite things to do is visit every summer. Ericka likes to spend her spare time with family and friends.
Yesenia is originally from El Salvador but raised in Arlington, VA. She has over 9 years of experience. She started as a dental assistant where she quickly became passionate about dentistry. Yesenia also has a lot of experience in assisting specialist in the dental field. She enjoys talking to patients and helping them reach a healthy smile.
Dr. Yodit Beyene grew up in Alexandria, Va. and attended Mt. Vernon High School. After earning her B.S. from Georgetown University, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Columbia University in New York City. She completed a General Practice Residency Program at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital. Dr. Beyene moved back home to Virginia and has been practicing dentistry in the DC area since 2004. Dr. Beyene is a caring, compassionate, and skilled clinician who is committed to high quality dentistry.
Annually, Dr. Beyene continues to attend extensive seminars, workshops, and lectures to stay on top of the latest dental techniques and materials available in modern dentistry. This commitment to excellence allows her to utilize the newest proven techniques to maintain the best dental care for her patients.
Dr. Yodit Beyene is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, The Spear Study Club, Virginia Dental Association, Northern Virginia Dental Society and the Alexandria Dental Society.

The staff at Alexandria Advanced Dentistry are amazing. Professional, friendly and courteous are the cornerstone of each employee. Getting an appointment is quick, easy and with flexible hours. Dr. Beyene is great, she takes her time to explain every step of the process, so there is no confusion. I would tell anyone looking for a family dentist to head over to Alexandria Advanced Dentistry.

Dr Beyene and her staff run absolutely the most skilled dental clinic my husband and I have ever used. We have lived overseas in Germany, Belgium and Guam as well as in multiple states here in the USA over the past 30 years, so we have had many experiences with a variety of dentists. But Alexandria Advanced Dentistry and Dr Beyene far surpass any and all other dentists who we have ever used. The main reasons are her superb techniques, her total commitment to making each crown perfect (and I mean perfect....I have had several crowns in the past that did not fit well and had gaps between teeth that collected chunks of food!). Dr Beyene's crowns fit beautifully and look very natural too. No more food stuck between teeth because of previously improperly sized/fitted crowns!!!! She has fixed several major problems for me and I am so pleased; the same is true for my husband. Plus she always makes certain that you are comfortable and understand each step of procedures. Showing you radiographs and pictures to easily explain what is needed and why it is needed. She accepts our GEHA insurance and does not try to over inflate significantly above what it pays. We do still have to pay some additional costs but these are very acceptable and not shockingly high amounts as happened to me in Florida. They practice all the CDC's recommendations for avoiding covid and you can easily tell that all the staff have been working as a smooth team for many years. And, she has also squeezed me in when an emergency came up over Christmas holidays (naturally!); so if I could I'd give her 10 gold stars! ********** Kathy and John McCoy Washington, DC

My family and I have been a patient at Dr. Beyene's office for the last 7 years. I always have a wonderful experience with the Doctor and the whole staff. I especially appreciate how she has helped me coordinate my dental treatment with my other Doctors due to other health issues that I have.

First of all I don't have any relation with the doctor except it happened we have the same last name. The first time I heard about Dr. Yodit is from my primary doctor. Since both of them are located on the same building they know each other. So my primary doctor asked me if I know her and related to her because we have the same last name. I told him that I don't know her. A few months later one of my tooth broke and I was in pain. I called a couple of dentists if they can see me. They asked me about my insurance and I told them it is Aetna but my insurance policy is run by a third party administrator and they have to contact them not Aetna. Both of them refused to deal with this administrator but Aetna. Then I remembered my discussion with my primary doctor and called Alexandria Advanced Dentistry. Immediately they saw me that day and fixed my broken tooth. Dr. Yodit is caring and makes you feel comfortable. The staff is courteous. I have always excellent visits. I recommend Alexandria Advanced Dentistry.

THIS PLACE IS JUST HORRIBLE!!! IF ONLY I COULD GIVE 0 STARS!!!!! THE DENTIST ACTS LIKE SHE IS THE ONLY DENTIST IN THE WORLD. SHE SENDS ME BILL CLOSE TO$200 AFTER RUSHING ME TO MAKE DECISIONS AND WHEN I CALL THE FRONT DESK LADY SHE SAYS IT'S FOR "THE DENTIST'S TIME" ARE YOU KIDDING ME NOW?????? WHAT TIME???? SHE WAS LIKE OH I'M SORRY BUT I DON'T HAVE MUCH TIME!!!!!! IT WAS VERY UNFORTUNATE THAT MY TEMPORARY TOOTH BROKE BUT THE DENTIST DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING EXCEPT FOR FINDING WAYS TO CHARGE ME MORE!!!!!!!! !!!!!!SHE IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY AT ALL. SHE IS NOT PROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!! INSTEAD OF WORRYING ABOUT HER PATIENT AND MAKING SURE EVERYTHING IS INTACT, SHE WAS ROLLING HER EYES AND RUSHING ME TO MAKE BIG DECISIONS. Review by Mark Scheland: Under the care of Dr. Beyene I used Invisilign aligners during 2017 and 2018 to correct crowding of my front, bottom teeth that, due to their positions, were causing chipping of the upper teeth. The process was successful and with the addition of a wire behind my six bottom teeth now I have no concern of the teeth migrating and misalignment recurring. Dr. Beyene and her dental and office staff are very communicative, professional, and caring. I highly recommend this practice for adult and child patients.

I have been seeing Dr. B and staff for over 7 years now. I am picky about my dental services and super sensitive when it comes to mouth, teeth and gum care. This Dr. and office staff have wonderful with communication, patient service and also provide progressive options when need be. I have recommended many friends and coworkers to this Dr and they all come back saying amazing things about their experience. It's a joy to go to this dentist!
