I cannot possibly recommend this dentist's office enough. I had not been to the dentist in over four years. I came into the office my first visit and was very nervous, but was immediately put at ease by the dental assistant who took my x-rays. Dr. Gill came in to tell me what needed to be done (a cleaning and two fillings) and gave me some additional info on other things I was interested in (like whitening and my tooth sensitivity.) He took his time answering my questions and I did not feel rushed at all. My second visit (cleaning) I was with an incredibly kind lady named Terri. She was very patient with me and kept me entertained with funny stories and anecdotes to take my mind off the stress of being at the dentist. I am actually looking forward to going back to get them cleaned again, just to hang out with her and listen. My third visit (filling) was incredibly stressful, as I hadn't had a filling since I was a teenager. My dental assistant Hannah was SO incredibly understanding and accommodating during my visit. She did everything she could to make me feel as comfortable as possible. Dr. Gill was also super kind. He explained everything he was going to do before he did it, so there were no surprises at all. After he finished, he made sure to answer any questions I had. For my most recent visit (second filling) I was hardly nervous at all because I knew I was in good hands. To my absolute glee, Hannah was my dental assistant again! It was so comforting to have a kind and familiar face for the procedure. When she had to step out, the lady who came in for her was also very, very sweet. If you're nervous about the dentist, please look no further than Norman and Gill. Seriously, they could not be more kind and patient overall. Thank you guys for everything!

I personally did not have the best experience coming to Norman and Gill. I had previously left my dentist in Durham because the commute was too far. The day of my appointment, i waited an hour over my appointment time to even be seen by the dentist, not the best impression for a new patient. I was given an exam and some pictures were taken. I was told that i had 3 cavities that needed to taken care of and the bill was going to be around 700. So i scheduled a routine cleaning appointment at the time before i could decide when we could do the fillings, since i would be paying out of pocket. i ended up not being able to make the cleaning appointment due to personal reasons, i then get a call from the dentist office 2 - 3 months later saying that i owed 110$ from a previous cleaning. I explained to the receptionist that i never came in for the cleaning because i didn't have the time, she proceeds to tell me that i needed to pay and i told her i wasn't going to because i didn't go to any teeth cleaning appointment. She told me that it was now going to be under investigation and that they would call me back, never received a phone call to confirm that i didn't owe. Fast forward 2 months and i go to my previous dentist in Durham, they do X-rays and an exam and cleaning and tell me that i have no cavities. Is it just me or did they try to fast cash me?

Always an easy experience. Friendly staff and great service. Had to cancel an appointment and thought I would have to wait months for next. Got a call next day for the next week instead of months away.

*2/28/21 Update* I went back to Norman Dental and they were very helpful. They gave me a few options for what i can do about my gap, i chose to just live with it for now. I was happy to see they reached out to try and help. ------------------------ *Original 1 Star Review* I went to Norman Dental to have a gap in my teeth closed with veneers. Everything was good initially, they took a picture of my smile and showed me a moc up of what my new smile would look like after adding the veneers. I was happy with what i saw. I originally only wanted 2 but the dentist Charles Norman recommended 4 veneers. I went with his advice and let them proceed. After it was all said and done and the veneers added i was surprised to see that i still had a gap in my teeth and the final results looked nothing like the moc up. I spent a lot of money with this dentist to have my gap closed, something ive been self conscious about all my life, but all i got was a slightly smaller gap. If Dr. Norman had simply admitted that a mistake was made after the end result obviously didn't match what was promised and if he asked for the chance to make it right it would of been fine. The fact that i got excuses and no attempt to fix the problem should be a red flag to anyone thinking of using this dentist. Before letting them work on my teeth i hated my smile. After letting them work on my teeth i was down thousands of dollars and still hated my smile :-(

I am prone to being a little anxious for dentist visits. Dr Gill and his staff have made my visits extremely comfortable. Very impressed.

Always friendly and great service. Now I am very iffy about dentists I literally stayed with one dentist from my childhood until he retired. But I do love Dr Gill he's been great since Dr Curtis had to retire a little early. Definitely recommend him.

Dr Gill is the best dentist ever! I made the mistake of going to two other dentists in the area and they did some horrible work. Dr Gill has worked with me to correct all of the issues and has my teeth looking and feeling great. The staff is also extremely polite and friendly. Side note:I have anxiety with needles (I have had so many in my mouth) but with Dr Gill he is so gentle I barely know I am getting them. I recommend him to everyone I know. Top notch, caring , honest and friendly!

I appreciate the staff at Norman Dental - from the hygienists to Dr. Matt Norman. Dr. Norman is both patient and very knowledgeable. Some doctors seem to always be in a hurry but not at this office! Their goal is customer satisfaction! I appreciate quality care and great service.

The staff are very friendly and take an interest in you as a person. You don't just feel like a patient. Both doctors are extremely knowledgeable and personable. I highly recommend Norman Dental.

When I was searching for a new dentist 6 years ago a friend recommended Norman Dental and I am so glad she did. I've been going to them ever since and they are wonderful! I had a cavity filled today and was pretty nervous. Dr. Matt was so awesome and made the entire experience quick and painless. I highly recommend them!

Have been coming to Dr. Norman, and now son, for 15+ years. I have never had dental care that was so thorough, professional and trustworthy. After an almost 4 year break from dental visits due to loss of my insurance, I went back for a check up. While my teeth were still in great shape, according to the "dental hygienist" if that is the correct title?, she was amazingly thorough in checking, measuring, cleaning, scraping, scoring, etc. Every single tooth was scored for gum condition and god knows what else. Received a cancer screen too. As someone who grew up hating going to the dentist and being an absolute sissy for dental pain, I actually always enjoy my visits to Dr. Norman's office. Would NEVER switch to another dentist. And how many people can brag that their dentist served as President of the American Dental Association??? You can if you go to Dr. Norman.
