Awful!!! No respect to their patients time! Made an appointment weeks ago and when I came they told me I'll have to wait at least an hour as the doctor was seeing someone else . I had to leave my work early and lost my money !! Do not go, they don't respect your time

Disappointed with my experience. Needed a procedure done last spring. Called ahead to the office to confirm they took my insurance. After that appointment, I paid my co-pay and was told everything was covered. Had to go back for the same issue; made an appointment for the end of the day, got there early and waited around for approximately 50 minutes because the doctor was busy. Not an issue; doctors get busy. We've all been there. But when I finally saw the doctor he told me he had already sterilized the tools he needed for the procedure, and he would do it tomorrow. I don't mind that I had to wait, but to miss half a day of work to be told to come back tomorrow when they knew that I was coming for this procedure was unprofessional. So, I walked to reception to make an appointment for the next day and was told I owed $450 from the previous visit. When I asked why I owed when my last visit was covered the people at the front desk said the procedure was not covered. I asked what was billed because the procedure is straightforward, but they couldn't explain what the billed items were for. They told me someone would call me the next day to explain. I told them the receptionist from my last visit said everything was covered; they told me that receptionist wasn't working for them anymore, and that she misinformed me. Meanwhile, it was months between visits, and they never billed me, so this was the first I was told about this charge. To be fair, they reduced the price a little, and the people helping me at the front desk weren't to blame. They weren't responsible for billing or insurance. But I never got a call with an explanation, and although I understand I'm responsible for procedures insurance won't cover, I thought the issue was handled unprofessionally. If I was told the procedure wasn't covered, I would have gone to another doctor. They also should have been ready for my visit that day, and billed me for the first visit, so I could have gotten an explanation of the charges and I wasn't blindsided with a $450 bill.

I had the worst possible experience with Dr. Greenberg barring him actually botching my surgery or causing me irreparable damage. I called on 8/23/22 to schedule a wisdom tooth extraction and was pleased that they had availability for the next day 8/24/22 at 2pm. The receptionist was fantastic and super helpful and very sweet. After finishing my paperwork, I waited about 1 hour to be taken to an exam room. Fine, things get busy, not a problem. The dentist (Alex Greenberg, although he never even bothered to introduce himself) came in and I said hello, and asked how he was doing. Without any introduction or literally any other words, he showed me my x-rays and said "Look. You see this line? This is a nerve that connects to the rest of your face. There is a chance I hit this line in which case you could have temporary or permanent paralysis. And look at this line on your top teeth. This is connected as well, and could cause you to sustain permanent numbness and loss of feeling. I just have to tell you this before we get started." I was shocked at the lack of bedside manner, but whatever, sometimes the coldest surgeons are the most competent. I told him fine, I was nervous but what am I gonna do? He reviewed his chart and said "Ok so no drugs here except Xanax, well that'll help you." I had clearly stated in multiple places in the paper he was reading that I had taken Xanax "TODAY ONLY" in all caps, and that I never took it but for big events, but was actually prescribed Adderall for daily use, which he did not mention. He shrugged and proceeded to numb my mouth. He jabbed a literal pea sized amount of numbing gel haphazardly around my mouth, with zero intention or attention to whether or not the gel was covering sufficient surface area of my gums. He then immediately started injecting lidocaine all over my gums, and because he had improperly and lazily jabbed the gel around, I felt every single injection (of which there were like, 10!) and I was bawling my eyes out. I tried to ask him to please pause and add more numbing gel to ensure that my gums were covered and he said "it hurts sometimes. It's fine." He did not care and kept injecting!!! This should have been the time I left, but I persisted. My mouth was numb and then the assistant and Dr Greenberg left the room. I sat there waiting, crying because I felt like a piece of meat and was losing confidence in the dentists ability to do this procedure carefully. I waited.... and waited.... and waited... stressed out because no one told me when to expect them to return - I felt completely neglected and resorted to googling "how long does lidocaine last" and when i found out it could begin to lose efficacy as quickly as in 30 minutes, I started crying. It had already been 40 minutes. I went to the receptionist and told her that I couldn't find anyone and I needed help because I was beginning to feel my teeth - the teeth I was about to have sucked from beneath my gums. I went back to the exam room and Dr Greenberg and the assistant came back minutes later. He said "Look it's not numb. The gel lasts 10 minutes but the injections last.... longer" At this point my lips are still numb so I can't really talk and I ask, "I can feel my teeth - would you mind using a q tip or something to check if my teeth are still numb?" He said, "That's your finger feeling your teeth. Your teeth are fine. Here is the consent form for the procedure I need you to sign it before we go on." I replied, "Would you mind just checking that they're still numb before we begin?" knowing that as soon as I signed the form he'd ignore me and start the surgery whether I was numb or not. He threw his pen and clipboard across the room, almost hit the dental assistant, and said "You know what don't get it then, leave, I don't care. YOU CAN GO!"

I was shocked! He took 2 wisdom teeth out in about 6 minutes, like it was nothing which means i had very little swelling. Apart from that I'm glad I found him because other oral surgeons were pushing for bone graphs, laser treatments, 3d x-rays basically things I didn't need so they can bill my insurance as much as possible. Dr. Greenberg is probably one of the few remaining honest oral surgeons in New York.

Had a Coronectomy done with Dr. Greenberg in 2020. It took me about 2 years to find someone who would actually do it because of the proximity to the nerve but I am glad he had the expertise to do it and do it correctly. 2 years later I did get an infection. Due to living out the state, I had to see another oral surgeon, who continuously blamed him for the infection occurring and wanted to continue with redoing the procedure which would not fix the infection. Dr. Greenberg was nice enough to consult me on the phone about this. I eventually ended up seeing a 3rd oral surgeon who agreed with Dr. Greenbergs approach. Had it not been for Dr. Greenberg, I would have received a pointless procedure and still have a severe infection. He is definitely knowledgable about what he is doing and can get the job done well.

The receptionist is awful. Doctor is brilliant. Old but gold. He knows very well what he is doing. Assistants were also very kind. I removed my four wisdom teeth. Procedure was flawless. Of course it was painful after. But with medications, I had no big pain. Three days later my mouth was so much better. Brilliant job.

I would put 10 starts from 5, because simply that this place is so professional, friendly and supportive! The surgeon was super knowledgeable and the most important is honest! I was experiencing the difficulties with finding the right surgeon for removing of my wisdom tooth for over week in NYC (and I had really bad experience with the previous doctors with who I was dealing before) but in this place they understood my problem right away and got it done within less than 10 min! You will never feel that you waste your time in this place and the stuff will take care of you ! This is the only place who I can trust after all!

This man is the most wonderful dentist, oral surgeon in America, period. He is competent, professional and highly skilled. I had a procedure which was supposed to be painful, but it turned out to be only uncomfortable and mildly bothersome for reasons unrelated to Dr. Greenberg. I wish I could see him for every dental concern. I only had a problem with a staff member who was straight up lying to me. I am going to restrain myself and not name her here out of love for only Dr. Greenberg. This woman must have had sudden onset dementia, I am the wrong one. I hope I never have to deal with her again because she really is not nice at her core. I encourage everyone to seek out Dr. Greenberg and his mainly friendly and efficient dental assistants. His receptionist is temperamental, at best. Basic courtesy, that's all I need. I wish Dr. Greenberg could work alone! Lol. That's me pre-op and then post-op. Minimal pain.

Original appointment was rescheduled a day prior because they had some openings. Arrived 15 mins prior, taken into the office 15 minutes after appointment time. Waited over an hour in the chair and no sign of the doctor so I'd rather go elsewhere Good luck

Dr. Greenberg and his staff were able to schedule a last minute wisdom tooth extraction and I'm happy I went through with it. I called the office at 9:45 to see if there were openings and my tooth was extracted by 11:30 the same day. The dental assistants and office staff were professional, organized, and friendly. Dr. Greenberg is an excellent oral surgeon and it was evident that his practice runs like a Swiss clock (extremely efficient)!

Went through an implant procedure to cure a missing tooth in early 2019. Everything went smoothly and I couldn't be happier with my permanent fixture that resulted from the implant. Dr. Greenberg and his staff were very professional and, when needed, accommodating to my schedule.

I had an emergency while the office was not open, and Dr. Greenberg prioritized the situation and came in to see me right away. He was extremely patient during my difficulties and worked with me to devise a plan that worked best for the concerns I had, while managing my pain/discomfort. I had to get the infected wisdom tooth out a few days later and Dr. Greenberg was incredibly accommodating with being able to see me during a very busy time. The procedure/experience was smooth and stress-free. Communication was 10/10 on the days between visits and afterwards! Dr. Greenberg went above and beyond and I could not recommend him and his staff more!

Dr. Greenberg got me in fast during this weird COVID situation and took care of some badly infected molars that needed surgery and bone graph on one and extraction on the other. Every staff member was very accommodating and helpful explaining procedures and payment options. Doctor was totally professional and I am in minimal discomfort with high hopes my problems are solved. The team worked seemlessly together. Fast, gentle, experienced and efficient. Office was very clean with patients timed out so no one else was there. Sanitizer provided. Don't want to say I look forward to more dental problems but I know where I am going if they occur. Lol Thanks gang
