Upon careful consideration with the changes to the safety protocols and regulations set forth with the CDC and American Dental Association, it has been decided that we will continue to enforce the mask policy within our practice. We have many immunocompromised patients, and many patients with underlying medical conditions whom are ineligible to receive the COVID vaccination. These individuals remain at risk. The safety of all of our patients and staff members remains our top priority. Patients must wear a mask while inside the office, until they are seated in their exam chair. This policy will remain in effect and will be reconsidered by our medical advisors at a later date.

When Dr. Johnson was 13 years old, he got braces, and he knew right then and there that he was destined to become an orthodontist. Going through the process made him fall in love with it and decades later, this is still the perfect profession for him!
After attending the University of South Florida, Dr. Johnson pursued his dental doctorate at Washington University. He remained at the same school to complete his masters and Orthodontic Certificate. Today, he has completed continuing education with prestigious organizations like the Pankey Institute, and hes also gained his Board Certification in Dental Sleep Medicine, along with several completed courses in Airway Orthodontics. He is currently a member of the Florida Dental Association, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and American Association of Orthodontists.
Nicole is our assistant orthodontic office manager, and she has 25+ years of experience in the orthodontic field, with 20 of those years being with Dr. Johnson! She loves seeing the look on a patients face when they see their smile for the first time after their braces or appliances are removed. When she isnt busy in the orthodontic office, youll usually find her on the sidelines at her childrens soccer games or at the barn attending to her daughters show animals.
Melanie is one of our business assistants that you will be greeted by at the front desk. She joined Dr. Johnsons team in October of 2020 and has been in the orthodontic field for six years. She loves working with our patients and watching their smiles change, and shes always excited to see their final results. Away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three kids, going out on the boat, fishing, and being outdoors.
Shannon started with us in August of 2021, and she has worked in the dental and orthodontic world for eight years as a business assistant. She enjoys meeting the kids and watching them grow throughout their treatment. In her free time, she enjoys going on walks and barbequing with friends and family.
Robin has been in the dental field for 32 years and with Dr. Johnson for 18 years. She loves meeting new patients and watching their beautiful smiles come together over time. As a treatment coordinator, her goal is to develop great relationships with our patients and their families. In her free time, she enjoys camping, cooking, swimming, cruising, and traveling to as many places as she can with her husband, daughter, and friends.
Lisa is Dr. Johnsons clinical coordinator, and you will also find her assisting him chairside. She has been with Dr. Johnson since April of 2006 and in the orthodontic field for 20 years! She loves working with our patients every day and is excited to see their results after treatment. She loves to be a part of the process of changing smiles and helping patients gain the confidence they deserve. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, shopping, camping, and fishing.
Kim is one of our orthodontic assistants, and has been with Dr. Johnson for 5 years! She enjoys working in orthodontics because it is such an interesting specialty and there is always something new to learn. In her free time she enjoys baking, kayaking, playing with her dogs Ace and Bruno, and collecting all things flamingo!
Jordan started with us in June of 2021 and has been in the orthodontic field for three years. She enjoys working in orthodontics because she loves seeing people gain confidence when they no longer feel insecure about their teeth. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games and baking.

Dr. Johnson and his team are amazing! I used to hate going to the orthodontics but not with this office. They are gentle with my teeth and face and Dr. Johnson always takes the time to explain my progress. The office is clean and the staff is super helpful. I highly recommend them.

The continued care that my son and I have received from Dr. Alex Johnson and his staff has been stellar. We both wore braces and were truly thrilled with the results. I have to use a splint and retainer during the night and, because of the precise fittings, I can sleep peacefully. We are extremely satisfied with Dr. Alex.

Going back into braces at 66 was not on my bucket list, but necessary as my lower teeth had shifted. I went on a 2-year journey to get veneers which included root canals, crowns, gum surgery, then orthodontics. This is my first review post ever, but sometimes you intersect with people that go far beyond the necessary duties of the work they provide. The most important aspect of being under Dr. Johnson's care was his kindness, his genuine gentle touch and the ability to slow down and really listen to my questions and concerns. I am grateful for my experience with Dr. Johnson snd would highly recommend him to anyone at any age.
