This discipline is well known for handling the most complex multidisciplinary cases in dentistry. The thesis to obtain his dental degree was about craniofacial growth in children after extraction of the first permanent molars. For the graduate training his thesis consisted in designing with a group of engineers a system to record and study the jaw movement. This work was awarded the best research project of the dental school in 2000. After completing the graduate training Dr. Hoyos became faculty at the dental school, teaching some of the dental materials and dental esthetics courses.
In 2006 completed a 3 year residency program to become Specialist in Prosthodontics with a Master of Science from University of Florida. His extensive training with world renowned clinicians and researchers included : dental diagnosis, occlusion, dental laboratory, dental materials, temporomandibular disorders, implant surgery and implant restoration, dental esthetics, and in depth study of all different types of prostheses available today . His thesis for the masters degree was about the accuracy of an impression material using different impression techniques. His performance during the residency was recognized with the Lucius Battle Award as the best resident of the program in 2006. In 2009 completed a year of an implant fellowship.
Our office opened in July 2007. We are located in South West Ocala in Jasmine Professional Park building. During these years our office has evolved to incorporate the latest technology and techniques in prosthetic dentistry. This allow us to perform better and more efficient treatment to our patients.
