This discipline is well known for handling the most complex multidisciplinary cases in dentistry. The thesis to obtain his dental degree was about craniofacial growth in children after extraction of the first permanent molars. For the graduate training his thesis consisted in designing with a group of engineers a system to record and study the jaw movement. This work was awarded the best research project of the dental school in 2000. After completing the graduate training Dr. Hoyos became faculty at the dental school, teaching some of the dental materials and dental esthetics courses.
In 2006 completed a 3 year residency program to become Specialist in Prosthodontics with a Master of Science from University of Florida. His extensive training with world renowned clinicians and researchers included : dental diagnosis, occlusion, dental laboratory, dental materials, temporomandibular disorders, implant surgery and implant restoration, dental esthetics, and in depth study of all different types of prostheses available today . His thesis for the masters degree was about the accuracy of an impression material using different impression techniques. His performance during the residency was recognized with the Lucius Battle Award as the best resident of the program in 2006. In 2009 completed a year of an implant fellowship.
Our office opened in July 2007. We are located in South West Ocala in Jasmine Professional Park building. During these years our office has evolved to incorporate the latest technology and techniques in prosthetic dentistry. This allow us to perform better and more efficient treatment to our patients.

In addition, each team member receives extensive in-house technical training on clinical specialty and dental laboratory procedures. Dr. Hoyos is a highly skilled prosthodontist and I consider him to be the very best. He was highly recommended and I found his reputation well deserved. Dr. Hoyos is extremely kind and compassionate and makes you feel like family. He goes above and beyond to explain everything during the initial visit and during the entire process. He is a perfectionist and makes sure everything is perfect - he is not satisfied until you are 100% happy. Dr. Hoyos spends quality time with you and will never rush through an appointment. Dr. Hoyos and his entire staff are the best. This is the second major procedure he has done for me, and I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND him. He deserves more than 5 stars.

While doing the fittings dentures were very tight and thin. Once I received the final dentures the were very loose, thick, and no tooth reveal on the inside of dentures. Spent 48 hundred dollars and the sit in the medicine closet because when I put them in all I do is gag on them.

I needed a new Dentist as mine retired and I needed to have some work done. I also knew that I wanted a Prosthodontist to do my work. I found Dr. Hoyos in Ocala and after talking to others I knew I was going to try him out. I had two procedures done in his office and I could not be happier. Dr. Hoyos and his staff was very professional and friendly. Each procedure was done perfectly and no follow up adjustments were needed at all. He is an excellent clinician. Absolutely no pain or discomfort and the work done was exceptional. The office was clean, up to date and very relaxing with no pressure to make a decision regarding treatment. Let me be transparent here and tell you that I am a recently retired Dentist. I found Dr.Hoyos through my research with fellow colleagues and I am very satisfied with his work and bedside manner. I cold not be happier. I recommend him to all my friends now.

Dr. Hoyos is absolutely world class. In my case, he and his staff had to go several extra miles dealing with my problems but they did so seemingly as a matter of course. They have the highest standards and the highest expertise to achieve them. Oh, and bonus: great people who obviously enjoy their work and working together. My new teeth are beautiful!

Dr Hoyos is very meticulous and professional. He did my full mouth restoration and the results are better than I though they could be; he corrected every imperfection in my mouth from gums to teeth and I can smile while showing my teeth again. I had ground my teeth since I was a child and had dental work done very frequently all my life. In my 40's I was at the point where I had to have a full mouth/teeth restoration done. I did an extensive search and met with many local professionals in the industry; basically interviewing them. I did this because it was a major investment for me and the results would be a big impact on my look and health. Some wanted to do patch work for cheap and others wanted to do full mouth restoration for very very expensive costs. Dr Hoyos was excited to be able to help with a full mouth restoration and he was truly passionate about his field of expertise and what he could do for me. His price was very good for a full mouth restoration (half the price of one in Orlando), his credentials, passion, office, and staff was very good also, so I chose Dr Hoyos. He first identified why I had been grinding my teeth all my life, I had moved towns many times and seen many dentists over the years and he was the only one that took the initiative to identify this. He explained it was crucial to identify this to protect my investment and to maintain healthy teeth and gums. The overall experience was pleasant and I looked forward to every visit and ultimately the final results. The results were better than I thought they could be. It has been several years now and my teeth still feel and look excellent. I still get complements from friends and strangers on how great my teeth look. The results of this major restoration changed the way I look, eat, and live. The price he quoted was the price it cost; he did not "up the price" or "nickel-dime" me. Thanks Dr Hoyos and staff, you folks are awesome!
