Dr. Matthew Aldred was born in Charlottesville, Virginia. He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Virginia and attended dental school at VCU School of Dentistry, servingas a teaching assistant his senior year. He was presented with the award for High Achievement in Caring for Persons with Disabilities from the Special Care Dentistry Association. After earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery, he completed two years of general practice residency at UVA Hospital, where he learned many advanced techniques such as dental implant placement and IV sedation. Dr. Aldred is also a husband, and father to two beautiful girls. When not practicing dentistry, he spends time with his family enjoying the James River park system, visiting the Outer Banks, and grilling outdoors.
Megan DeArmond has joined the Aldred Family Dentistry team as our new Dental Hygienist. Megan has worked in the dental field for over 10 years and as a dental hygienist for 6 years. She builds a great rapport with her patients and has an infectious positivity! When not taking care of our patients, Megan enjoys spending time with her family and young son.
Jennifer was born and raised in Montpelier, Virginia. She earned her dental assistant degree from Medical Careers Institute, where she graduated with honors. She is very passionate about her work and loves to assist her patients with their dental needs. Jennifer is a wife to Gary and mother to Lynsie. When she is not assisting Dr. Aldred, she enjoys volunteering at her daughters school, spending time with her family, and she absolutely loves to bake all kinds of desserts and learn new decorating techniques! She is very excited about joining Dr. Aldred and his wonderful staff.
Dr. Matthew Aldred holds a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the VCUSchool of Dentistry, and has been in practice since 2010 in our community. He is looking forward to building his new practice in the Montpelier community, as are his wife Laura and two daughters.
