Born and raised in Lancaster County, Dr. Richard H. Albright Jr. opened his orthodontic practice in 1972. His education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Gettysburg College and a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Temple University School of Dentistry, where he graduated with highest honors.

Dr. Albright is a graduate of the Temple University School of Graduate Orthodontics. In 1980, Dr. Albright was the first practicing orthodontist in Lancaster County to achieve the distinction of Diplomate of the America Board of Orthodontists. In addition to assisting patients and serving on many professional and community boards, Dr. Albright enjoys spending time with his wife, five children and their families.

Having spent part of his childhood on a farm near Quarryville, Dr. Albright has always been interested in the preservation of family farming in Lancaster County. His favorite activities include outdoor sports, exercise, golf, and hunting.

Dr. Thiry aspired to become an orthodontist after spending summers in our office as an orthodontic assistant and laboratory technician during breaks from her schooling. She recognized the incredible impact that orthodontics can have on patients lives. Dr. Thiry pursued that goal, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Gettysburg College and her dental degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry.

She graduated with honors from dental school and was inducted into the elite Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Fraternity. She went on to complete an orthodontic residency program at Temple University School of Dentistry. There, she earned her certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology.

If Dr. Thiry looks familiar to you, it is because Lancaster is her home. In fact, she graduated from Manheim Township High School, and later married her high school sweetheart, John Thiry. Dr. Thiry and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with their daughters.

Dr. Rick Albright received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Philosophy from Bucknell University and his D.D.S. degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He went on to complete his orthodontic residency at Temple University School of Dentistry. He earned a certificate in orthodontics and a Masters of Science in Oral Biology after completion of a thesis on orthodontic practice management. During his residency, Rick served as chief resident for his department. He also served on the American Association of Orthodontists Council for New and Young Members.

If Rick looks familiar to you, it is because Lancaster is his home where he graduated from Manheim Township High School. His wife, Elizabeth Doyle Albright, also graduated from Manheim Township and they have three daughters. After living in Colorado, San Francisco, and Philadelphia, Rick and Elizabeth are very excited to return to Lancaster County where they have many interests as well as a sincere desire to contribute to the betterment of the community.

We are thrilled to have Dr. Amrita Bhan join the team at Albright and Thiry Orthodontics! Raised in Manheim Township, Dr. Bhan started her journey with our practice as a patient. Her experience as a patient and working in the office during breaks and summers of her high school and college sparked her interest to pursue the profession of orthodontics.

She is a graduate of Manheim Township High School. Dr. Bhan enjoys volunteering both locally and internationally and has traveled to Kenya and Thailand as a volunteer dental assistant with Rotary International. Dr. Bhan received a Bachelor of Arts degree from New York University. She completed her dental degree at Temple Universitys School of Dentistry, where she served as Class President and President of the Student Body. She graduated in 2016 with highest honors and was inducted into the OKU National Dental Honor Society. She continued her education at Temple Universitys orthodontic residency program and earned a certificate in orthodontics and a Master of Science in Oral Biology. Dr. Albright and Dr. Rick Albright were Dr. Bhans professors in her residency program.

Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Bhan enjoys traveling and photography. After living in New York City and Philadelphia for several years, Dr. Bhan is excited to return to Lancaster County and is looking forward to being involved in our community.

My son Michael has sensory disorder and ADHD. He has a hard time sitting still and I have always had difficulties with his dental procedures. At Albright life they took the time to make my son and myself feel comfortable with every step. They are kind and patient. With many obstacles with broken brackets that Michael has had, I never felt as if it was a problem. They immediately found a spot for us to have them fixed. I am so grateful for the sweet ladies that give Michael and myself their kind heart spirits in the willow street and Quarryville offices Lori B.

They are the nicest, caring, gentle people around. I have only had braces for about six months and I see massive improvement. They make sure their patients are not in pain and feeling great. They are the best to go to!
