Dr. David Resch attended the University of Minnesota to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. He then continued his education at the U of M School of Dentistry, receiving a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He graduated with High Distinction and was elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society.
Dr. Resch believes very strongly that education does not stop at graduation. Therefore, he regularly attends continuing education lectures and seminars to stay current in the latest advances in orthodontics.
Dr. Resch is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). The ABO is the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association and sponsored by the American Association of Orthodontists. The mission of the American Board of Orthodontics is to establish and maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence in orthodontics
Dr. Resch currently teaches the graduate residents as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Division of Orthodontics. He has published an article in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics and was honored to be elected as a faculty member into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society.
Originally from Brooklyn Park, Dr. Resch currently resides in Buffalo, MNwith his wife Lynda. He loves playing hockey and has recentlystarted to play as a goalie, playing for the C2 Moosein the Adult Hockey Association. His other hobbies include sailing, skiing, camping, and hiking.

For most people, achieving a healthy, beautiful smile is the reason for receiving orthodontic care. If you're self-conscious about your smile, correcting your concerns with braces can improve the way you look and feel.
Orthodontic appliances are made of metal, ceramic, or plastic. They may be removable or they may be brackets bonded to the teeth. By placing a constant, gentle force in a carefully controlled direction, braces slowly move teeth to the proper position.
Gone are the days when a metal band with a bracket was placed around each tooth. You can now choose clear or metal brackets and, in some cases, the color of your appliance. Wires are far less noticeable, and the latest materials are designed to move teeth faster with more comfort. Today, any age is a great age to wear braces!
Treatment time varies and many timeswill last between one and three years, depending on several factors including age, treatment method, and how minor or severe your case is. A big factor in a successful treatment is you! The more involved and diligent you are, the more efficient your treatment will be. For children, receiving interceptive or early treatment can also help provide a quicker treatment time.

My daughter had a wonderful experience. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. They all spoke to her in terms that she would understand and treated her like a responsible adult. Even though the pandemic she was able to continue with treatment and appointments. If there was anything bad to say it would be that Dr. Resch was too picky about how her teeth were, but that is not bad. Overall fantastic!

Our family highly recommends Albertville Orthodontics! We currently have 2 kids in braces and both our children love going to their appointments which says a lot!! We are extremely pleased with the care our kids have received at Albertville Orthodontics and are very thankful for each and everyone of their staff members!

Dr. Resch and his team went above and beyond our expectations. They were very friendly and helpful. If there was a problem with my child's braces they were able to almost immediately able to help get anything fixed. I will definitely be using them again for my other children!!!

We would highly recommend Albertville Orthodontics, we are very happy with our son's treatment plan and end result! Dr. Resch is very dedicated to his clients and takes great pride in his work. In addition, the office staff was always pleasant, scheduling was easy/convenient, and having a payment plan we could view online was very helpful.
