The front desk personnel and dental assistant were all very kind, professional and helpful. Dr. Ruiz was none of those. Due to a lifelong anxiety and panic disorder, I was dealing with a lot of anxiety over a root canal I had to have done. As a nurse, I understand that certain procedures or even the treatment environment itself can induce feelings of fear, stress and powerlessness. Someone needs to teach Dr. Ruiz how to treat patients who may be experiencing these symptoms rather than sighing, throwing down what he is holding and snapping at his capable dental assistant. I won't be going to this dentist again and will ensure no one I know does either. At the end of the visit, he walked out of the room without saying goodbye or offering the slightest pleasantry. Throughout the procedure, I was quiet, tried to hold very still (I was scared to move because he had exhibited such a short fuse) and kind. I asked for nothing and didn't say a word. I will let Dr. Ruiz be an example of how not to act with my patients and as an affirmation of what kindness and compassion in a space of treatment can achieve for those I am tasked to provide care for.

I needed an "Emergency" Root Canal as I was in a LOT of pain. Dr. Ruiz saw me immediately, very friendly, very gentle. I am a big baby when it comes to dental work - it scares me every time. We got through the procedure without me really having any pain or ever having to worry. I love these guys!

(Translated by Google) It has been my worst experience with this doctor Alberto Ruiz, before starting I notified him that even with the anesthesia I still had the pain and this man performed the procedure with this brutal pain that I had ... I have had two procedures of this type and this time it has been my worst experience ... I was extremely uneasy about seeing Dr. Ruiz after reading the negative reviews. However, I was at a point to either accept an appointment to see him, or wait a month until I could see another endodontist. I didn't want to wait. I was in unbearable pain. From the moment I walked in the door, I felt comfortable. The receptionist was pleasant and funny! My wait time was probably 5 minutes if that! The doctors assistant called me back and was very nice. Very friendly. The office was modern and clean. Then Dr. Ruiz approached me and introduced himself! He asked me a little about my situation. He was extremely patient and caring. He explained everything that was going on as he did it. He was extremely professional and great at what he does! I've never had to have a root canal before, but I can tell you that it was probably one of the easiest dental appointments I've ever been to. You will not be disappointed if you go to him.

Had my first appointment with Dr. Ruiz and it was a very nice experience. Needed a root canal and he made sure I didn't feel guilty about needing it and also made me laugh. Closed my eyes because I always do, heard noises didn't feel a thing and it was done. Very happy and he is now my only Endodontist. Was fun to see Dr Torres a childhood dear friend. Staff was friendly & helpful.

PATIENT BEWARE! I was referred to this endodontiat by a family friend of Dr. Ruiz. I had horrible tooth pain and went to see him. I was immediately tended to i filled out necessary paper work. I was brought back to the treatment area for a root canal. I asked his nursing staff before any treatment was done i wanted to know what my cost was going to be. I didn't want to get into something I couldn't afford even though i was in a lot of pain. The nurse verified my dental insurance and even commended me on the great coverage . She said it was going to be just $190.00 for the visit. I said ok i can do that. And then the dr. Came in and did my root canal (which was basically painless) after he was done i went to the front desk spoke with the receptionist and she took my payment. I was referred to a dentist to complete the restoration of my tooth and do a crown. I was told my balance was cleared. I left. After about 2 weeks i get a bill for an extra $280.00. I called the office (cause clearly this was a mistake right!?) NOPE. Aside from being hit with a ghost bill. The receptionist handling the phone was EXTREMELY RUDE. saying she didnt care who referred me if i didn't pay i was going to collections intold her you cant send me to collections after 2 weeks she said she could amd she would. I asked to speak with the Dr. since she said they dont have an office manager. She said again NOPE. If its not to pay my bill i have no business calling. I decided to hang up and called the BBB and my insurance. They both conducted an investigation my insurance couldnt do much (figures) but the BBB said that it isnt illegal but unethical to lie about billing. This was about 2 months ago. I set up a meeting with the owners wife which also a dentist. She was curtious and wven agreed that the treatment ingot from her staff was unprofessional and uncalled for. She was foing to review the call recordings and verified my claims were true. I spoke with the person that referred me and was told this was taken care of. Last week i get a call from a collections agency saying i was submitted to collections due to an unpaid bill. Mind you haven't heard from this dr for 2 months. I call the office and am told that i was sent a letter a week prior (which i never recevied) and was sent to collections. The only way for them to call the agency and withdraw my case is for me to pay the full balance at that moment. So i had to use my kids xmas money to pay the bill last week. I am soooo beyond disgusted and disappointed ln the handling of this business when it comes to billing and common courtesy. Please verify the charges before you are treated anywhere specially here.

I've had two different procedures done on multiple occasions with Dr Maria Torres and my experience has been excellent. From the moment walking in the door you are greeted with caring and knowledgeable supporting staff. Dr Torres herself is great! She operates in a gentle yet confident manner and I always feel at ease and reassured in her care. The great results speak for the quality of her work. Highly recommended.

Dr. Ruiz is very knowledgeable endodontist and the entire staff is so friendly. I've had several root canals done by him and have had absolutely no pain or problems after the procedure. After recently having a horrible experience with a root canal performed by a dentist that did not specialize in endodontics, I can tell you that there is a reason to go to a specialist. I highly recommend Dr. Ruiz.
