Dr. Kevin Albert and Dr. Frank Jones both wanted to help people from a very early age, and this is what motivated them to pursue dentistry. They know what a beautiful smile can do for a person, how it can completely revitalize their self-confidence. This is why they work hard every day to provide world-class, life-changing dental care. Dr. Albert was born and raised in Ohio. He attended Ohio University where he received a Bachelors Degree in Biology and fell in love with his wife, Callie. He went to The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and graduated with Cum Laude Honors. In addition, he received the Carl O. Boucher Prosthodontic Outstanding Senior Award and the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry.
Dr. Albert and Callie discovered Charlottesville while on a road trip. With an instant love for the area, they returned often and Dr. Albert eventually proposed to Callie while hiking in the Shenandoah National Park. After graduating from dental school, they moved to Charlottesville and set down roots. In his free time, Dr. Albert and Callie can be found spending every moment with their son, Cole. Together, they hike often and spend most of their time in their vegetable garden and small vineyard. When Cole is napping, you can find Dr. Albert on the local mountain bike trails or fly-fishing the Blue Ridge streams.
Dr. Alberts treatment philosophy is simple treat each patient as if they were family. He believes in educating each patient to help them make the best decision for himself/herself. Dr. Albert strongly believes in Continuing Education to stay on the cutting edge. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, Charlottesville Albemarle Dental Association, and a local chapter of Spear Education that consists of a dozen local dentists and specialists.
Dr. Jones practiced dentistry in Charlottesville since 1982. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in 1979. His professional memberships include the American Dental Association and the Shenandoah Component of the Virginia Dental Association. He is also a past president of the Charlottesville/Albemarle Dental Society. In his spare time, he is a volunteer dentist at the Charlottesville Free Clinic and enjoys spending time with his 3 grandchildren.
Dr. Jones retired from the practice after 35 years of quality, trustworthy, and compassionate dentistry in the Charlottesville community. Over the span of his career, he is proud to have made many friends and he will certainly miss each and every one. He was proud to transition the practice to Dr. Kevin Albert, who has a similar treatment philosophy and moral character. Dr. Jones will continue to fill in for Dr. Albert while he is pursuing Continuing Education or on vacation.

I can't recommend Albert Family Dentistry highly enough! I've been coming here since I moved back to Charlottesville in 2020 and every visit is great. Dr. Albert takes the time to get to know you and answer any questions you may have about your oral care, and never rushes you out of the chair. The bedside (chairside?) manner is a 100/10. Meg, Anne, and the rest of the team are kind, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgable. They make sure you're comfortable and make a dentist appointment feel as easy as hanging out with friends! Jen is always willing to answer questions I have about costs and insurance. I can schedule a visit confidently knowing that they'll give me an estimate or quote and I won't be hit with any surprise bills. If you're looking for a judgment-free dentist office that actually cares for their patients, is great with communication, and offers a pain-free and easy visit, Albert Family Dentistry is the answer! LOVE YOU GUYS!

Never have I ever asked for how to review a dentist after a visit! Having grown up as a child in the dentist chair, I get VERY anxious going to the dentist. Today I got a crown redone and did not feel a thing! Dr Albert is very professional and kept me pain free! Great chair-side manor and super competent staff!

I have been going to this dentistry office for over 15 years and I love the environment, friendly staff, and Rhonda is fantastic! You feel like family when you arrive and everyone is kind and they genuinely go out of their way to make you feel welcomed, comfortable, and they even ask about your family. You never feel rushed or feel like you're just another patient in a seat. Couple the pleasant environment with the great dental work, you just can't beat it. Explains why I've been a patient all these years :)

Dr. Albert has been my dentist for several years now. He is very personable, takes time to talk with me at each visit, sometimes about mundane things ;-) but also about how my teeth are doing. He and I went through the Invisalign process together, and I found it to be a perfect solution for my increasingly crooked teeth. Everyone at this practice is wonderful. My hygienist and I have been working together since before Dr. Albert came in as she was my hygienist with the dentist there before him. She is my buddy. We have fun. Who has fun going to the dentist? I do. I highly recommend them all. By the way, they gave me an injection this week for crown work and I never felt a thing. I learned it is a pain-free technique via computer. Wow. It worked!!

I spent many years embarrassed about my teeth. I had been to multiple dentists around town trying to find someone who didn't just talk at me about how terrible my teeth were. I gave up trying and decided to just do the emergency only dentist care plan. In 2014, my back tooth cracked in half because it was so rotted. I had a lot of pain and went to the emergency dentist. I made it clear that I just wanted my tooth pulled, I did not want to talk about anything else. Dr. Albert was assigned to me and walked in and respected every boundary I put down. He didn't look in my mouth and scold me or say it's hopeless. Instead he asked if I would be willing to talk about it. He was warm, non-judgmental, and willing to follow MY lead. He invited me to do a cleaning after he pulled my tooth. I was terrified. Panic attacks all week leading up to it but knowing that Dr. Albert would be there and willing to work with me helped a lot. I showed up with headphones, an emotional support person, and a lot of trepidation. After the cleaning, Dr. Albert made it clear that all he wanted me to do was take it a day at a time. To not try to go from never brushing or paying attention to just one thing. Slowly over the course of years, we worked together to get my teeth fixed. I went from barely able to sit in a dentist chair to having well over 30 cavities filled, two root canals, one crown, and two pulled teeth. Dr. Albert encouraged me at every single step of the way. When he bought his practice I followed him without a second thought. He has totally changed my smile and my confidence. In 2019 my teeth were finally cavity free and we started Invisalign. It's rare to find someone who impacts your life in such an astounding way. It's even harder to believe that that person is your dentist. That is Dr. Albert. If every dentist were like Dr. Albert no one would be scared of the dentist. I will always be grateful for Dr. Albert AND his staff for welcoming me in every six months no judgement. Jen at the front desk has always made sure that when I slip up I know it's okay and gets me rescheduled (COVID made it harder). Rhonda allowed me to vent about my teeth and COVID and how scary it is to be at the dentist during a pandemic and made me feel totally safe. I am so grateful for everyone at Albert Family Dentistry. If you have a mouth you should be seeing Dr. Albert.

Most people spend their lives lying to their dentists and dental hygienists about flossing. That was me when I first went here. But through the patient care and hard work of everyone at Albert Family Dentistry, I became a guy who brushes twice and actually flosses once a day. It's like a spa for your teeth - peaceful and rejuvenating. My teeth are going to last longer because of the care I've received here over the years. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Another place that cant help after you explain. Just another place to take your money? To send you somewhere else. Thanks for nothing other than taking my money . Consult I told you everything all you did was had me pay for your suggestion to go else where . Dont waste your time here unless you a just a basic cleaning or there opinion?
