Dr. Christopher H. Koppelman has been in practice with Albemarle Dental Associates since 1995. A native of Minnesota, he grew up in Cary, NC and graduated from Cary High School. He received his BS degree from Appalachian State University in biology. He earned his DDS degree from the UNC School of Dentistry as a Board of Governors Scholar. A member of the American Dental Association and the NC Dental Society, he has served as a member of the faculty at the dental school and as an examiner with the NC State Board of Dental Examiners. His wife Donna is an author of children's books and is a full time mom for their children Haley, Hannah, Benjamin, and Johnathan. His hobbies include boating and spending time at the beach with his family. He loves all sports, particularly his beloved Minnesota Vikings and Twins.
Dr. Ethan B. Nelson has been in practice with Albemarle Dental Associates since 2007. He is a native of Hertford, NC and graduated from Perquimans County High School. He attended Campbell University for his predental training and earned his BS degree in Dentistry with from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his DDS degree from the UNC School of Dentistry. His wife Kathryn is a Registered Dental Hygienist and they live in Edenton. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the NC Dental Society. His hobbies include fishing and hunting and plays golf to a very low handicap.

I have been going here for years. I travel from Camden, NC and pass by many other dental offices but I love the service and folks at ADA. They have the most up to date equipment and do their best to make sure that their patients are comfortable and well taken care of. Everyone there deserves an A+!

I have been going to ADA for years! I love the entire staff! They are all very personable and friendly! Holly is a GREAT dental hygienist and both Dr. Koppelman and Dr. Nelson are very knowledgable and have great rapport with their patients. I would not want to get my teeth cleaned anywhere else!

I broke a tooth Friday & I see Dr. Nelson there. He was able to save my tooth & did a filling yesterday. Gab was assisting him. Both were great & very kind.

I broke a tooth Friday & I see Dr. Nelson there. He was able to save my tooth & did a filling yesterday. Gab was assisting him. Both were great & very kind.

They are very personable and do good work. The only downside is rescheduling an appointment for a checkup if you have to cancel your 6 month appointment for some reason. But they will call you if they have a last minute cancellation.

I love everyone there. Our entire family has been going over 15 years. I don't mind going to the dentist and I love the feel of clean teeth.

I am a senior citizen and have went to many dentists over the years. Albemarle Dental is one of the best. I like their pleasant yet professional attitude when calling in for an appointment and getting questions answered. When you arrive at the office you will be impressed by it's openness and bright interior. Lots of reading material. Appointments are on time. Dental assistant provided X-Rays with state of the art equipment that goes directly into your computer record and makes sure you see them and understand what they mean. After a very thorough cleaning the dentist comes in and goes over treatment options and gives costs at that point. No pressure but gives you a chance to go back home and make a decision. I thought costs were fair and if money is an issue they have Care Credit which gives you extended payment options. I hope my comments help in making a decision to chose Albemarle Dental.
