Dr. Jason Spychalabetter known as simply Dr. Jasongraduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2007 and worked for two years as an associate before purchasing the dental practice in Albany. He then started Albany Family Dentistry in 2009.
Dr. Jason's favorite part of being a dentist is being able to interact with people. Whether that means the team and the daily discussions around enhancing their careers, or providing new information and treatment options to patients. he enjoys providing an enlightening experience for those he cares for.
'I chose dentistry because I love working with my hands, enjoy being creative, and I find joy in helping people. Dentistry allows for all this and more. As I continue to learn, innovate, and incorporate my skills into my profession, I 'm continuously reminded of my passion for my job.'
Outside of work, Dr. Jason loves including his kids in daily life discussions on healthy lifestyles. He and his wife incorporate healthy food into their family camping trips, take their kids on biking adventures, raise animals on their family hobby farm, work together on creative family projects like lego building and game nights. He and his family also run Harvest on the Hill, which provides sustainable farm-to-table produce locally and seeks to teach people about the importance of knowing where their food comes from.

Sent me to an endodontist, cost me $1900. This is not including a crown. Had scheduled a crown with this dentist, only to have it canceled 2 weeks later, 2 weeks from the appointment. Citing "missed appointments". Wouldn't "miss" appointments if they checked for the email I sent them explaining how the expensive root canal limited me from getting enough fuel to make my appointment. Called to tell them this, and was told that "you should communicate to us through phone" 4 days later, my appointment is canceled. This is what happens when medical care follows a business model. I am not a bag of money. I am a human. Edit; this just coincidentally happened same time frame as big pharma fighting the Alec Smith Insulin Affordablility act. During a pandemic. PhD and MD aren't people who want to help. They are businessmen/women.

The staff is always very friendly when I stop in for check ups or to pick up product. Charlene is a great hygienist and I got great advice on choosing and new electric brush.

Very good place to have your dental work done. The staff is helpful and will go out of there way for you. Everyone was very respectful. Jason and his staff are very gentle with there procedures. This is not a place to go if you have a hurry up and get her done attitude, plus I want it cheep.They are "lets do it right" and that's what l like. I want to keep my teeth so this is a place I will go back to.

Really found my dental visit to be a great experience! Dr. Jason and his team took very good care of me. They all did a great job explaining my treatment plan and answered all of my questions. I am actually looking forward to going to the dentist!

I love this dentistry. Dr. Jason is phenomenal. He explains procedures in detail and appreciates the patients opinions. The dental hygienists are great and the receptions are there to listen and understand your needs. I wouldn't go anywhere else.
