Born and raised in Indio, California, Dr. Alatorre is a proud graduate and former valedictorian of Indio High School. She attended San Diego State University, and received her DDS from the University of California San Francisco.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Alatorre spent two years helping the community as a part of the National Health Service Corp. In 1994, she returned to her hometown to start her practice and provide outstanding care to residents of the Coachella Valley. She remains abreast of changes in the industry through continuing education courses and through attending annual meetings for the California and the American Dental Associations.
A registered dental hygienist, Karen studied hygiene at BCC in Binghamton, New York, and at LLU in Loma Linda, California. She's very passionate about her work and loves working with Dr. Alatorre. She also loves animals and rescuing them.
A 1996 graduate of Indio's ROP Dental Assisting Program, Marcela was licensed through the state of California (RDA). Working for the office since 1996, she enjoys coming to work each day to deliver top-quality care to our patients.
A proud mother of two daughters and one son, Julieta (Julie) has worked for the office since January of 2004. She and her family also own and operate Rio Azul Mexican Bar and Grill in Palm Springs, California, and have done so for three years.
