Dr. Randol graduated from Oregon State University in 1996 and then completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific in 1999. Only two months later, Dr. Randol opened his practice in Roseburg, Oregon.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, Umpqua Dental Association, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Randol has also served as a board member for Umpqua Community Health Center, Umpqua Valley Cal Ripken, Umpqua Community College Foundation, Oregon Dental Association Trustee, Oregon Dental Association House of Representatives, UVC School Board, and as a Roseburg Rotary member.
Dr. Randol also works as a Prefect Professor for Oregon Health & Science University, mentoring fourth-year dental students during their rural rotation in our office. He also serves as the team dentist for the Umpqua Community College Athletic Department.
Shelly, our Lead Dental Hygienist, joined our team in 2008. She is a 2007 graduate of Lane Community College where she received her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene. Before that she earned her Dental Assisting Certificate in 2000.
Sierra graduated from Oregon Institute of Technology as a Dental Hygienist with Magna Cum Laude honors. She joined our team in September of 2019 as a Registered Dental Hygienist with her Expanded Functions Dental Hygiene License.
Cassie joined our team in 2020 after graduating with her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the Oregon Institute of Technology. She currently works in our office as a Registered Dental Hygienist and has her Expanded Functions Dental Hygiene license.

I was having a dental emergency and was assured they could help. I arrived in excruciating pain at 7am, given a free cup then paraded around the facility on a bragging tour to be shown a coffee bar and awards on the wall. I was told I could get my first cleaning and pain addressed after purchasing their "club" discount package only to be told after an extensive wait they couldn't fit me in. 6 hours later I received a $7000 treatment "plan", $3000 referral, promises for a future appointment and ZERO treatment. Not even a temporary filling. I tried to return to get pain addressed by extracting the tooth and to use my $700 discount plan for cleaning only to be told they had to ask if it was "ok" to schedule me. If you are someone that suffers from depression, anxiety, or is experiencing grief this office is not trauma informed and will humiliate you further while spinning it into "education". If you are in any way dissatisfied with your experience too bad. Refunds are NOT considered. This dentist has a lifestyle and image to maintain. If you have unlimited time and money and enjoy car salesman tactics, paying for fluff disguised as "service", embarrassment, pain, confusion, snarky toned desk staff, giving your hard earned dollars away and being treated like a child this is the place for you. Please use my money to actually help someone. 5 stars for successfully providing nothing and stealing my money.

As a retired dentist who has spent his entire career in research, education, treating humans with the latest techniques after carefully listening and empathetically providing for their needs and wants, I was looking for like minded dental professionals for my care. I found Dr. Alanson M. Randol's office through a progressive dental research company I respected. I was quickly and courteously scheduled to their office to discuss my needs. Their office is beautiful, well designed, with viral and infection protocols followed closely. The latest equipment for the best diagnosis (great painless images secured by talented staff), treatment evaluation, planning and delivery of care is available. The doctors both come from a nationally respected dental program and believe in the latest science, techniques and therapies...no over diagnosis. I enjoyed meeting Dr Caitlin C. Konicek who greeted me cheerfully, sitting down to give me her full attention. She listened carefully, not interrupting and quickly was able to understand and respond to my needs. Following her painless, gentle measurements and pictures on the latest imaging equipment she was able to give me an understandable complete diagnosis and treatment plan. I agreed with all her suggested therapy and was pleased to see she did not suggest any unnecessary treatments. I felt heard and a part of this talented family. I understood and respected the choices suggested. I had found the office I was looking for and had nearly given up....finally. I was once again surrounded by like minded, highly skilled, latest science and techniques informed, do only that which is needed, professionals and staff who care. I highly recommend this "family".
