Dr. Alan Poon grew up in the city of Cupertino, California where he attended Monta Vista High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences at the University of California, Irvine. He then achieved his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Southern California. During his time of study at USC, Dr. Poon was exposed to some of the newest technologies being introduced into the field of dentistry. He had the priviledge of learning about cosmetic and implant dentistry from internationally recognized dental faculty. In addition, while working in a mobile clinic, he had the opportunity to treat the underserved populations in Central California. Dr. Poon believes in a conservative and practical approach to dentistry. He feels great satisfaction in working with patients to plan treatment that is functional, esthetic, and economical. Dr. Poon is a member of the American Dental Assocation, California Dental Assocation, and Santa Clara Dental Society. In his free time Dr. Poon enjoys playing golf, hiking, and spending time with his family.

What a joke of a business. Don't bother calling to schedule an appointment- they will give you a date and time but never actually schedule you in their system so you'll take time off of work to show up and the receptionist stares at you emotionless like she's doing you a favor by offering to reschedule. The customer service is pathetic and non existent. Don't waste your time calling they just waste more of your time in return. Deserves zero stars but it's sadly not an option.

Didn't have a set dental place until today. First timer through recommendation and I'm beyond satisfied. From the beginning to the end of my appointment all staff was super friendly and knowledgeable.

I wish i had found Dr Poon sooner. I went to two other dentists first when i moved to the bay area. One did a bad job on a filling that left me in pain for weeks. I went to see another and still wasn't happy but then finally tried Dr Poon, and have been happy since. Great receptionist, easy availability, very helpfull and friendly, and most important of all the work he does is top quality! It's rare to find a dentist who you are happy to go see, but this is the guy!
