A Native of Norwalk CT, Dr. Rissolo graduated Fairfield College Preparatory School and Boston College before he received his doctorate degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1987. Following Dental School he pursued his special interest in Implant Dentistry with internship training at the UCLA Health Sciences Center. ( PGY1) He then returned to UCONN for his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.( PGY 2 5 ) He again returned to UCLA to complete additional externship training at the UCLA Maxillofacial Implant Center before entering his Norwalk private practice in 1993.
Dr. Rissolo is on active staff at Norwalk Hospital since 1993. He is a member of the Surgical Executive Committee, Section Chief of Dentistry, Past President and board member of both the Connecticut Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Greater Norwalk Dental Society. Three times certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery since 1993. A member of the International Team for Implantology, Dr. Rissolo has placed over 10,000 dental implants in the past 25 years. He has also published articles, served on implant consulting committees and lectures on various dental implant topics including Bone Grafting, Immediate Dental Implants and Computer Guided Surgery with Immediate restorations.

Not all implants are the same. In fact they vary considerably in quality and clinical research. Dr. Rissolo only uses the most technologically advanced implants in the world with the greatest supporting clinical research. Our implants have the highest clinically documented success rates for rapid healing to bone with maximum strength and durability.
Our VA Tech cone beam scanner technology allows 3D imaging of teeth, jaws, sinuses and tooth supporting bone. The doctor is able to get a 360 degree view of the structure of interest much like a medical grade CAT scan. Cone Beam scanning focuses on Bone and Tooth density only and therefore provides accurate 3D information to the doctor with far less radiation than a medical CT. This is ideal for implant cases that are near vital structures and for some impacted teeth in adults and children. The VA Tech scanner has two distinct advantages over other scanners. It can vary the scan size and therefore further minimize the radiation dose to the patient. It also has a totally separate scanning sensor for 2D imagining producing the highest quality Panoramic images for routine implant and impacted tooth surgery.
3D images are merged with Staumann Co-Diagnostics Software when 3D surgical treatment planning for implants is desired. This technology allows virtual 3D surgical implant placements on the computer before the patient arrives for surgery. Very accurate Surgical Guides are made and often combined with prefabricated temporary dental bridges. This allows many patients to have teeth extracted, implants placed and temporary bridges placed all in the same day.
Digital x-rays reduce the amount of radiation needed as compared to film x-rays while providing superior diagnostic capability. The improved diagnostic capability of digital x-rays and the ability to view the x-rays on a computer screen improves the patients ability to understand and follow treatment. Digital x-rays are instant, there is no longer a need to develop the film as the images display directly on the computer screen. Its also a very green technology. There is no longer a need for film, developer and other chemical waste. Its better for you and its better for the environment!

I cannot ever fully express my appreciation and gratitude time and time again for Dr. Rissolo and his unbelievable team. If you're in pain, if you're scared of a procedure, if you've had a traumatic experience with your teeth, please please do yourself a favor and go see this wonderful man. Three times now they have been able to get me in with no notice for an emergency extraction, all three times for a "hot tooth". Dr. Rissolo, Trish, Yvonne, and Caroline were BEYOND in their care, communication, genuine concern, and dedication to making sure I was informed, pain free, and felt safe every step of the way. If like me you're in need of a procedure requiring true mastery in this particular field as well as impeccable bed side manner I strongly recommend you call this incredible practice. I cannot stress enough how vital Dr. Rissolo and his team have become in my life. I know if anything happens he will be there with kindness and patience, he will help me, and his amazing team will be right there with a hand on my arm letting me know everything will be okay, and it always is thanks to them. Had 3 wisdom teeth out with Dr. Rissolo; it was a flawless experience. Staff went above and beyond to provide as comfortable an experience as possible--on top of ensuring a painless procedure, but what most impressed me was the post-operative care. Dr. Rissolo was able to provide treatment for swelling at a moment's notice, mitigating the pain in a typically notorious recovery experience. If you need a wisdom tooth extraction, or anything of the sort, this is the place to have it done.

I would give ten stars if I could. Called them on Black Friday morning for an appointment for my 96 year old Dad who had an abscess. They were able to accomodate us, and when we were late because our wheelchair transportation's chair lift did not work, they very graciously still saw him. The doctor and his entire staff was friendly, warm and compassionate. The procedure was painless for him, and Dr. Rissolo was very attentive to him and his multiple medical problems. I can't praise them or thank them enough for the excellent care that they gave him.

From the initial phone call and through the entire procedure, I was very impressed with how I was treated and the professionalism of the entire staff. Dr Rissolo and team are amazing! Dr Rissolo deserves all the stars. Hands down the best medical/dental care I've ever received. Dr Rissolo is so caring and patient, ready to answer any questions you may have. After spending just a few minutes with him it's evident he cares for his patients almost like family. I always felt that my comfort was his highest priority while in his care, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone and everyone. Dr. Rissolo and his staff are without a doubt the best of the best. Amongst many others, I had to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed which I was very nervous and anxious about. However, the day of my procedure they all went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable, safe and at ease. Typically for wisdom teeth extractions they tend to be very lengthy and painful but not with Dr. Rissolo. My procedure felt like it was only 5 minutes and I didn't feel a thing! A huge thank you to Dr. Rissolo and his staff for treating me like one of their own!
