Dr. Alan Dorfman grew up on Long Island before going off to Atlanta, Georgia for his undergraduate and dental studies at Emory University. Having a father who was a dentist, left NO decision as to his eventual return to Long Island in 1983 to join his fathers practice in Westbury. Working for over 19 years alongside his father enabled Dr. Dorfman to acquire much more dental wisdom, practice management skills and his fathers love for the profession.
Dr. Dorfman used this time to further the practices resources. His involvement in the Long Island Study Club (past president), the Mid Island Study club (past president), the Greater New York Dental Association (Board member), American Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry and the Nassau County Dental Society offers his patients and staff the latest progressive dental knowledge available.

I've been going to Dr. Dorfman for years, and he is simply the BEST. I am terrified of the dentist in general, but he always puts me at ease. He is an EXCELLENT dentist, and just an overall great person. I also love the staff, top notch all around!

I went to have my usual cleaning which had been delayed by covid and was very pleased about they way that they understood my concerns. Everyone was wearing a mask, the hygienist had a face shield as well as the mask, the office was spotless, and I felt very safe there. Dr Dorfman is very concerned about his patients as well as his staff. Thank you for your concern Dr Dorfman

This is a real professional dentist. He goes the extra mile to shows that he cares and he has never broken the bank with me and my insurance. Was able to take me for emergency wisdom tooth removal. Also pretty funny guy, expect to hear some funny sh@t when you go in for a dental visit. He is a personable, caring person.

Extremely intelligent dentist and very funny and witty. But can also put you at ease. Submissive and sweet staff. Very clean place. Inside the Westbury medical / Professional Building on Old Country Road. Which is also very lovely. I love the stone floors.
