Dr. Barr graduated from Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 1989, and then completed a General Practice Residency program at LIJ Medical Center. Prior to studying at Dental School, he attended SUNY Albany. Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Barr has kept up to date with many continuing educational classes, ensuring that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care.
In addition to continuums at the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education, Dr. Barr received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in July 2016, an award given to only about 6% of general dentists. This is awarded to dentists who have completed at least 500 hours of continuing education and successfully passed a nearly full day written examination.
Dr. Barr serves as a consultant dentist to numerous nursing home facilities in Westchester County, and has been doing so since 1990. In that capacity, he provides a range of dental services to the senior population at those homes. This allows for Dr. Barr to be extremely comfortable and proficient in providing dental treatment to seniors.
Dr. Barr lives in Stamford and has three children. His community involvement includes being an active member with their Temple, and having coached and managed in the Stamford Youth Soccer League for many years. Hehas served on the Board of Directors of Stamford JCC and Jewish Family Service of Fairfield County.

Dr. Barr was great! He helped me with something that was bothering me, he took the time to talk me through each step and make sure I was comfortable. Highly recommend this dentist!

Great dentist...gentle but thorough in regular check ups, cleaning and cavity filling. I have a baby tooth that I have held onto for decades that had a bad decay. De. Barr filled the cavity, no pain, and provided solid advice on what the future looks like for this tooth. Office takes all safety precautions for COVID so I didn't worry about going there for my 2 check ups and cavity filling since the summer. Highly recommend!!!
