A:Generally, no. However, its advisable to use a fluoride containing toothpaste to decrease the incidence of dental decay. We recommend our patients use what tastes good to them as long as it contains fluoride.

A:These are restorations to repair a severely broken tooth by covering all or most of the tooth after removing old fillings, fractured tooth structure, and all decay. The restoration material is made of gold, porcelain, composites, or even stainless steel. Dentists refer to all of these restorations as crowns. However, patients often refer to the tooth-colored ones as caps and the gold or stainless steel ones as crowns.

A:Both bridges and partial dentures replace missing teeth. A bridge is permanently attached to abutment teeth or, in some cases, implants. A partial denture is attached by clasps to the teeth and is easily removed by the patient. Patients are usually more satisfied with bridges than with partial dentures.

A:No. While most teeth which have had root canal treatments do need crowns to strengthen the teeth and to return the teeth to normal form and function, not every tooth needing a crown also needs to have a root canal.

A:Morning mouth is a common condition caused by the slowing of salivary flow during sleep. This permits the accumulation of desquamated epithelial cells, organic debris, and bacteria, which would otherwise be cleared from the mouth and swallowed. Everyone has this to an extent. Antimicrobial factors in saliva (enzymes and antibodies) are thought to be irrelevant to bad breath; it is more related to the volume of salivary flow.

Had a bad experience. Had wait almost 30mins after scheduled time. Don't plan nothing that day. I asked before the appointment time and there how long it would take. They tell you 3 different times and even on the 3rd one it's still take even longer. No, not my first time going to them. Been going for years.

Always had a great visit/check-up. Not scary or intimidating at all. Super nice and helpful staff.

Went in yesterday which was a Saturday. I went for a wisdom tooth extraction. Only took a few minutes. They were very professional. And he took 2 teeth out and only charged for 1. I highly recommend this dentist office. Thank you for a pleasant experience

Never have been seen in office within 1 hour of my appointment. If there is going to be a delay that long don't they know there are cell phones!

Tracy was very gentle and an overall great job during my cleaning. One of the better experiences I've had while at the dentist.

Not open on a Thursday. Called and voice mail says closed for team lunch we will open back at 1. Drove to office thinking may be open but business not open. No sign on door no emergency phone number. Do not waste your time going to office. Since they do not do what they advertise, they do not want business. Have number 31 tooth needing extraction and really let down because business does not stand behind advertisements.

Worked us in after 7pm for an emergency with no notice whatsoever. Friendly, helpful, and expert, will be switching to Dr. Richesin!

On March 2, I went in for a dental cleaning and the hygienist Melissa broke my permanent retainer while flossing my teeth. Dr. Newdome smoothed it out. On March 9 my retainer popped and is scratching the inside of my mouth, mind you I have had it over 5 years and never had any problems. When I went to the office on that day I was told to come back on the next day that Dr. Newdome was in the office. No one in the office returned my call until 4:45 pm on March 10 and I was told they had been busy and to go to the orthodontics. I was never offered to come back into the office to have it smoothed out until I could get an orthodontics appt. No accountability on their part. The person named Tori who called back told me these things happed over time as if they were not responsible and I was to blame. No compassion nor accountability. She then hung up the phone. This was the most cold hearted experience I have ever had. Please beware if you have any orthodontic hardware. They are reckless, don't care and will place the blame on you!! A disappointed former patient

I have been a patient of Dr. Derek Richesin since he started his practice in the early '90's. He has been the best dentist I could have ever asked for. I have had basic cleanings, root canals and crowns. The dental hygienists have been excellent. The office staff have been good too.

Today was a very upsetting day! I have been waiting for a dental cleaning for over six months. So when I got a call for a cleaning I jumped on it. I called at 8 to confirm my appointment time and arrived early. I had my temperature checked and waited in the car. After some time I called the receptionist desk to make sure I had not missed a text. I was asked my date of birth because my name sake was indeed getting her teeth clean. I was told they could fit me in at 5pm four hours later. I said no because I was so upset. I called back to speak to a supervisor , but Im not certain that I spoke to one. They said I could come in on Wednesday at 9, but repeated the wrong name to me . I could not believe it. Im worried that my account has not been handled correctly, have I been paying the wrong account? The front desk has caused me to want to change dental service. I have no confidence right now with this front desk staff.
