Akram Sannaa, DMDDr. Sannaa is a graduate of Boston University School of Dental Medicine. Prior to attending dental school, he was involved in public health research at Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Sannaa was awarded with the Prestigious International College of Dentists Leadership Award along with the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine High Achievement Award.
Dr. Sannaa is known for his delightful charisma and deep knowledge of general dentistry as well as his textbook work in his practice. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but is particularly passionate about cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Sannaa is known for using advanced dental equipment and the latest techniques. He is known for his impressive results and his high-end dentistry. He is committed to providing his patients with the best care possible and thrives off patient satisfaction.
Outside the office, Dr. Sannaa enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, traveling, skiing, touring D.C., cooking, tasting new recipes, exploring new hiking trails and camping. Dr. Sannaas family has been making olive oil for so many generations that it has become their heritage, which is where his last name Sannaa derives from: the makers.
Dr. Azin Ghesmati, DDSDr. Ghesmati received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from New York University College of Dentistry. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in biology and kinesiology from York University in Toronto, Canada, as well as earning a bachelors degree in software computer engineering.
Azin is an avid watercolor painter. She believes that the more you understand and appreciate the art, the better you can develop, evaluate and improve your own artwork. This understanding of art is focused even more on her dental work. She has gained a vast amount of experience and education in how to intertwine the beauty of fine arts and the techniques being employed in the modern era of dentistry to serve her patients, all the while considering the general health of her patients to be of utmost concern. Dr. Ghesmati offers a comprehensive approach to dental health, where beauty intersects with function.
Dr. Ghesmati is a member of American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. She considers her education at UCLA in aesthetic reconstruction an eye-opener on how restorative dentistry should be done in the most conservative way and how a patients overall oral health plays an important role when designing a new, healthy smile. Dr. Ghesmatis background in engineering made it very easy for her to employ digital dentistry in her practice.
Azin is proud of the cases that she has had, restoring patients smiles and oral health after facial trauma. She takes great satisfaction in her role in restoring both patients smiles and their confidence. Her greatest goal in practicing dentistry is patient education and satisfaction.
Lily Aviles Dental HygienistLily is one of the most talented and caring hygienist you will ever encounter. With over 10 years of experience, her skill level is admirable. She enjoys working in an environment with professionals that trust and encourage her clinical skills. Lily is diligent in providing optimal, customized care to each patient she meets. When not in the office, she spends time with her husband and 21-year old fashionista daughter. Lilys hobbies include trying new restaurants around DC, traveling and cooking.
Meg Assefa Dental HygienistMegdelawit (Meg) has been a practicing hygienist for over 10 years. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry, where she earned her bachelors degree and license in dental hygiene. She is also certified in Invisalign, sleep apnea treatment and is highly trained to work with any special needs patients. Meg is our queen of technology and you will never find her without her intraoral camera in hand. She is a people person, extremely detail oriented and has the most calming spirit, which makes all her patients feel right at home when she is working with them.
During her days off, she takes care of her young son and daughter, and they both keep her on her toes! In her free time, she enjoys watching stand-up comedy and volunteering at church. Meg is from Ethiopia (where coffee originated from!).
