Periodontal disease is an infection of the tissues surrounding the teeth. Gums become detached and separate from the teeth, leaving the tooth exposed. Untreated or poorly treated, periodontal disease can claim your teeth and gums.

Simple. By doing the periodontal work deftly and correctly in the first place. Many patients get dentistry that simply doesnt last. Revisiting the same dental needs requires more time and money and can lead to frustration.

Your smile is as unique as you are. Dr. Okui doesnt believe in one size fits all dentistry. Instead, he crafts a natural smile just for you! You get cosmetic dentistry artfully and skillfully done by a dental professional people in Los Angeles with trust and respect. Hes also a pretty cool guy. At least his patients think so.

There is no need to look elsewhere. Period. For third tooth issue. These are 5 star doctors with a 2500 star reputation, and admin support team (very diligent--nothing gets buy them and they follow through/up). These are fa the the nicest, care, interested (in you) and professional team doctors I have ever met Incredibly kind and gentle. They are actually extraordinary very, very, very smart and learnard in their own fields. They know there stuff and are VERY honest. They LISTEN to you! Really they do. They have all the latest techy gizmos. I have some complex dental issues and I wouldn''t let anyone else near my mouth except these two professional talented couples who work in the same office but are separate businesses and they call in each other for opinions when there is a cross over issue (gums, nerves, teeth. bones etc). A few dentists I have seen in the valley area all know them and consider them a top choice. You won't be sorry by out comes and the way you are treated with such wonderful respect! Prices are competitive for the valley area in Encino (don't know much about the city/Westside--probably more) but dentistry in general by ANY means ain't cheap. They do payment plans. One last important point: This is very convenient having both a Periodontist and Endodontist in the same office so they can interact with each other. They are both Anesthesiologists. Most doctors in their fields aren't. Which means such doctors have to be brought in one from outside. You'll have to pony up $2500-$3000 for one to come in. Not here.!!! Not many around who are. (I wish they were many of my other doctors too!).

Sure this dental place is great. The exam and cleaning is not that bad, easy process. Mainly when you have to get many fillings or worse many root canals done in one appointment. The nitrous oxide makes it better to do simple fillings and even one root canal. I wouldn't want to be awake for wisdom teeth extracted, rather be sleeping yawn. I be awake for anything other than that and make sure my mouth is good and numb. Gentle and professional is really good for a dentist.

My husband and I are both patients of Dr Okui. Dr. Okui has excellent bedside manner. He is also very knowledgeable. About a year ago, I had red sores in the inside of my cheeks, my gums were inflamed, and I also had sores appearing mostly on my back. Dr Okui immediately diagnosed it as Pemphigus Vulgaris. I have seen several other medical doctors prior to seeing Dr. Okui for the sores in my mouth and on my back and all other diagnosis were wrong! Thank to Dr Okui, I insisted on getting tested for Pemphigus. The result came back positive. Treatment were done and my disease is now in remission. I am now healthy and happy. I have been steroid free since August 2017. My doctor still monitors my condition periodically, but the intervals has gone from one month to three months and now six months! Dr Okui was also the one who recommended and did implants for my husband when the other periodontist recommended that my husband should wear denture since based on the condition of his disease and the extensive bone loss, implants were not an option for him. Dr Okui did the implants for my husband and they lasted for twenty year so far and still in good shape! We are grateful for Dr Okui. Both my husband and I completely trust him! He is a great Dr.! Highly recommended! Highly!!!!

As a dentist myself, I am very picky with who I refer my patients to for Root Canal Treatment. Dr Tatsuta has treated several of my patients and everyone returns saying how delieghtful Dr. Tatsuta is and they love her staff. Most importantly is she listened to all of their concerns and did not feel any discomfort at all. I have so much confidence with Dr Tatsuta that i have sent my own family to her. You will love her and her office.

Dr. Matt Okui is a very talented gentle professional. He has done 2 teeth extractions for me with great care and expertise. What I think was really exceptional with him was his manor of personal attention to my every question and needs. His work ethic and explanation process even with his busy schedule was exceptional, there was never a moment where I felt rushed or neglected when I was concerned about my options for treatment. He also spent extra time calling me on my cell to discuss my concerns. More than excellent , a special rare kind of guy!!

Going to any dentist is not supposed to be fun, but it is always a very pleasant and friendly experience to spend time in Dr. Okui's office. I feel I am in very capable hands. Even periodontal surgery was a walk in the park compared to the horror stories I had heard from friends. He keeps a close eye on my dental health now, and that's very reassuring. Dr. Okui is a really nice guy as well as being an excellent specialist; he is caring, concerned, and just fun to talk to. The whole office has a family atmosphere.

I had an excellent visit with Dr. Okui. He was thorough, explained everything so that I could understand his evaluation and he had a friendly and approachable manner. His office staff was also very good.

Dr. Okui should be the professor of chairside manner. He makes you feel relaxed and, what's more important, confident that he will do a great job. I've had implants, extractions, grafts - you name it - from him, and it has all been great. Plus, he can converse on a wide range of subjects: He's a fascinating conversationalist. I only wish I had brushed my teeth with fluoride toothpaste as a child (not invented yet), but then I wouldn't be seeing him, so that's a double edged sword.
