I grew up in the Portland area and enjoy working with people in the community. I graduated from Portland State University in 1979 with a BS in biology. Dental school kept me close to home as well; I earned a Doctorate of Dental Medicine at Oregon Health Sciences University, and graduated with honors in 1983. Orthodontic specialty training took me to Northwestern University in Chicago.
My professional memberships include the American Association of Orthodontists, the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, and the Multnomah Dental Society. I am also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics.

Dr. Ainslie and his staff have been the most incredibly supportive partners on my adult-braces journey. No question or concern is too silly or too complex for them. They are patient, caring, fun and celebratory. Could not have picked a better orthodontist! Highly recommend!

I was referred to Dr. Ainslie for a second opinion regarding what orthodontic care I need. The moment I stepped in to the office I had a good feeling. The office is very clean, I had no wait, the staff members are so very friendly, and Dr. Ainslie was very open and honest about my teeth and what is necessary and what is not. He has been in practice for over 30 years and I trust him and his staff with their plan of care.

We have only been for a consultation so far but the office was very nice. Well decorated and comfortable. The staff was friendly and personable. We were greeted right away and spent very little time waiting. They were so good with my 10 year old and spoke directly to her for everything that wasn't financial. She really appreciated being in the loop and getting her questions and concerns addressed. It is quite apparent that they care about their patients and make an effort to create a welcoming and friendly environment. I look forward to working with them as my daughter goes through the journey of braces! She was very nervous beforehand and didn't like the idea of needing braces but by the time we left, she understood what it all meant and why it's important. She is no longer nervous and knows exactly what to expect. They completely shifted her attitude about getting braces and I am so very grateful for that!
